  1. Yo yo yo, hot dogs in the hood!

It's always interesting to eat lunch in Yonkers. This place is straight out of 1979. Classic. You basically have an old school fast food joint with original decor (incl. a video game room!), free condiment stations, and a persistent, greazy smell that I think is still lingering in my shell shocked jacket.

The food was not the Nathan's I remember. Old, oil laden fries, extremely salty hot dogs, and (on the verge of being) stale hot dog buns. For a lack of a better phrase, it was f**king disgusting.

As for the clientele, you seem to get quite a mixed bag here; the elderly, gangsta wannabes, rowdy high school kids, immigrant families, and bums, all chocking down dog after dog. Actually, not everyone was eating hot dogs. There was one filthy character to the side eating a 7 inch high plate of sauerkraut, pickles and mustard (no hot dogs to be seen). It was quite a sight.

Two stars. One for horrendous food, one for a good dose of nostalgia. This Nathan's is good for a laugh, but I'd wholeheartedly recommend eating elsewhere. Anything else is better.

  2. super retro flashback place. food is just like you remember it. "home made" fried onions at this nathans. cheese fries. tcby. arthur treachers.

the arcade is kinda busted. we played a few games and the odds were 50:50 on the machine just taking your money and nothing else. some old machines, some newish ones. lots of interactive stuff for kids. more kids machines out front too. mario pinball was 25 cents a ball, or it was broken.

i dont think kids will even get excited about this place.
didnt really live up to my memories but what does?

  3. Wow the 80's must have been sweet here!

I hear this place had a massive arcade with the old games.  I would have loved it here.  These days though with arcades going the way of the dodo it brings back a special nostalgia.

This place has all the Nathan's, Arthur Treachers, and some Kenny Rogers Roasters foods that one could want.  With a huge space there is never a problem sitting.  There is also a drive up window.
