I was cracked, hungry, carrying way too many bags. I noticed this pizza spot and happy dove in, looking for some sort of meaty cheesy pizza like thing. Then I found out everything was vegetarian because I was being silly and not paying attention. Fail.
I ended up ordering the mushroom roll which was large, stuffed with a ton of button mushrooms with a bit of cheese. The dough was golden, crisp, the mushrooms were filling but I wish there was more cheese.
So when you need the Kosher.
this place is cholov yisroel and pas yisroel if you need to know then these words will matter to you. Good places like this are hard to come by
and you want tasty Italian here is excellent choice
we were in the mood for GOOD food
and we needed Kosher
LBella came recommended …now let me make sure you realize there is a pizza place and there is a fine dining restaurant both right there with different front doors
we walked in the pizza spot first it looks nice but its clearly a pizza place that sells slices
The sweetest lady said to me I just love the slices here …anyway
I am like but we want slices? no we want to sit relax and be served
have no fear says the sweet lady its the other door. Her words echo in my ear she says be prepared to open your purse actually its not that expensive in relation to Koshers
ahhh
open that door and a lovely full service Italian restaurant awaits you
we were greeted warmly and lead to a cozy table
instantly there was fresh bread and bread with tasty brushetta tomato spread
we ordered pastas and cesear salad
lovely fresh salad
and big steamy bowls of hot pasta I had the penne ala vodka delish
my kid had cheese ravioli in vodka sauce another yummy winner
Lauren had eggplant parm and boy oh boy was it good I had to have a big chunk because she said it was so good …and she was right not greasy perfect delicate fried slices.
it seems to me kosher always tastes better when it comes to cheese
very nice unrushed service.
we were way too full for desset
prices are not cheap but this is a kosher
for sure I will return good service and good food in calm environment
If you've read any of my previous reviews you'll know I'm a lover of Penne Ala Vodka so I try it at every italian place I come into contact with. I go to QC so I'm a stones throw away from this restaurant. For a quick bite, they're my go to. The Penne is creamy and delicious. Their desserts are also yummy.
I do feel like in the restaurant at certain times of the day you get ignored and have to sort of find them and go to them to get service but the food is good and overall they're very polite and accomodating.
Best Greek salad ever…..At a kosher pizza place. How? I don't know how!
My bestest fwiend (yes, fwiend) in the whole wide world just moved to this neighborhood so we decided to explore and see what food options there were. How can you move to a new area and NOT find the closest pizza spot? After exploring for a bit, we stumbled across L Bella. We went inside and were immediately greeted by the friendly folks behind the counter as well as the fresh aroma of garlic. Since we're both on a health-kick, we decided on a Greek salad. My friend found out the hard way how a kosher pizza place differs from the pizza places she is used to, but after a good chuckle with the employees, we ordered our salads.
The guys here know everyone by name. That's pretty comforting since we'll most likely be stopping by a lot. We got our salads pretty quick and dug in. Amazing! I don't even know what made it so damn amazing. Everything was insanely fresh and the feta was out of this world.
I can't wait to go back and reward myself with a slice of pizza.
This review is from a few weeks back when I visited NY….
We were a party of 10. This was my first meal in NY and unfortunately was rather dissatisfying. Some of us ordered pizza and the rest ordered pasta. One would think that the pizza would take more time to prepare and cook right? Not here. The pizza was delivered 15 minutes more the pasta dishes. At the time the pasta dishes were served, the pizza people were finished eating. We didn't get to eat as a family.the restaurant wasn't full and the waiter was unapologetic. He didn't know how to handle the situation. The manager however was apologetic and took care of the situation that the server let go very quickly.
I've eaten here twice when I've visited the KGH community for various purposes. I'd agree with the other poster: this is in the top 5 of kosher pizza I've ever had, and I'd even compare it to Bravo Pizza.
My favorite slice is the creamy spinach slice. I formerly sampled the stuffed crust pizza, although I found the crust to be lacking in cheese the last time I ate here. However, the spinac h pizza always amazes me, in a good sense, and garlic powder and pecorino cheese make it the best. (Any kosher pizza place that keeps a shaker of pecorino cheese around is in a high caliber, in my experience). The mozzarella sticks are crispy and ooze with milchig goodness, although a little more seasoning would benefit them (I put garlic powder, herbs, and pecorino on them when they come out) and the curly fries are delicious, although a little more spice would benefit them.
All in all, this is the best kosher pizza place in Queens I've ever tried, and coming from Brooklyn, I confidently say this is one of the best pizza places I've ever eaten in.
