I really like going to The Shannon Rose for a good meal. I have been here a few times and have always liked what I have ordered. The first time I came here, I ordered the Clean Slate Riesling, which was a very smooth and refreshing white wine. I then ordered the Turkey Avocado Wrap, which was really tasty and came with sweet potato fries. For dessert, my friend and I both ordered a coffee amaretto, which was the perfect after dinner drink. We also got the Irish Soda Bread pudding, which was out of this world! It was so delicious, we couldn't get enough! The second time I came here, I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was very good, fresh and came with delicious Irish cheddar cheese on it. I ordered another coffee amaretto for dessert and also tried the Apple Tart, which was definitely not as good as the Irish Soda Bread pudding, but was just OK. I will definitely be back!
Came here after work with one of my girlfriends for dinner after work. It was pretty empty.
We had Emily as our waitress, she was really sweet and attentive. We got two jamo & ginger doubles, it was basically all jamo though, so no complaints there!
Onto the food, the kale & watermelon salad was so amazing, I wish I ordered it for myself. It was so fresh and delicious.
I got the steak pot pie and it was average. The steak was super juicy and flavorful but that was it really. The crust wasn't really crispy or puff pastry like, it was just there. I wasn't crazy about it.
I've been here on a few occasions and it does get kind of rowdy.
I'll def be back for salad though!
Came for dinner and drinks this past Saturday night. Ordered the Shepherd's pie, Caesar salad, Truffle Burger, Gin and Tonic, and a couple of Extra dirty martinis.
Food: Shepherd's Pie was a bit bland for my taste; it could have used a dash of this and a dash of that. My friend thought the burger was alright and the salad was deent. I did not try either.
Gin and Tonic – Standard but good, not watered down.
Martini – My friend taught me how to order this and according to him, it was made just right. I enjoyed it as well.
There are different bands which play on Saturday nights and a DJ on Friday nights. The band this Saturday night came late so we didn't stay. Overall this is a chill place for dinner/drinks and more of a party scene on Friday nights. They have good happy hours, too.
Superior to your average Irish pub, interesting menu items and attentive bartenders. Sub-optimal clients, that's a weird thing to say about an Irish bar but they do seem to have douchy, wasted crowds during late nights on the weekend. The loud fist-pumping music probably doesn't help. Off nights and on football days, this is pretty solid place to be at.
I enjoyed the DJ upon my first visit. Playing freestyle, the crowd was young, and thier specialty drink menu was impressive
Very large menu, pub style food. I'm not into burgers and fries but I do love British food from time to time, Scotched eggs, fish n Chips.
There are salad options and a kids menu.
I very much enjoyed the lobster corn fritters and the Lobster Bisque was almost perfect.
Servers and bartenders are friendly, tables are bussed accordingly, and I appreciate the clean bathrooms
On one occasion I was accidentally charged someone else's bill when I had a tab at the bar.
Management staff was very helpful and rectified the situation and exceeded my expectations with their apology.
Convenient location to my home, and a good local place that's packed on weekends, in a busy shopping section.
Nice place to hang out with friends for drinks and music.
Will return
We've been to Shannon Rose several times. I've been here for happy hour on a number of occasions, and last week came here for brunch. The staff is generally friendly and attentive, although there have been a few times when they seem to get overwhelmed when they are not expecting a big crowd.
The Bloody Marys are delicious! That is the thing to get when you are here for an early lunch or brunch. The rest of the food is solid. It is typical pub grub, with burgers and apps. The menu is a bit odd with a mix of Irish dishes like shepherds pie, and Asian inspired apps and salads.
Overall it is a nice spot to grab a beer, watch a game, and meet up with friends.
An Irish pub / gastro pub in a beautiful space. Most awesome indeed.
This is a great place. The servers are friendly and energetic. The menu is diverse and clever. Its got standard Irish and pub fare but some cool items too. They offer pork belly bao, grilled Japanese shishito peppers and schnitzel. The space is luxurious. Somebody put major money into the environment.
The bar is a large oval and spans 3-4 separate sitting areas. Before you sit down, go around the bar and find a corner that you like.
I am sure to be back. One of the nicer places in town for sure.
I like the Shannon Rose. I've been here several times at all hours of the day and my favorite has to be on a weekend during the lunch time. At night, the bar scene here can be rowdy, but during the day this restaurant feels like a warm, cozy cottage.
The service is always good, and was especially great the last time I came here. They had a great seasonal beer list and their food was awesome. We had an avocado turkey wrap and a short rib sandwich. Both meals came out neatly presented and tasted like something you'd get at a fine dining establishment. Towards the end of our meal, they had live entertainment which was a nice touch. It wasn't a loud band, but one singer playing an acoustic guitar.
This restaurant is a great place to eat, and also a chill bar to check out with friends. Lastly, the bloody mary I had here was one of the bests I've ever had!
