I came here for some late night drinks with friends on a Saturday night. Didn't realize that they have live bands, which was super loud so you were screaming while trying to talk. My boyfriend lost his voice. The band was pretty good however.
The prices seem decent. The bar can get a little tight because there's a wall in the middle of the whole restaurant.
I got some french fries, which were pretty good and definitely homemade.
The staff seems pretty friendly and trying to do their best.
Bathrooms were bright and spacious but as the night went on, definitely needed more cleaning.
Would come back but maybe on a quieter night.
Nice neighborhood place with good music (playing rock) and good service. Used a Groupon ($15 for $30 worth) so I had 2 vodka martinis and The Pub Burger, a half pounder with cheddar cheese, Irish bacon, mushrooms and the chef's sauce. Really good solid burger. Would definitely stop in again.
Awesome homemade tasting food and exceptional staff. I can't remember my waitress' name, but she was so sweet and accommodating, I would come back just to have her serve me. She made us feel so welcome, like we were regulars. I had the crab cake special which were very tasty, and mashed potatoes that were super creamy. My kiddo had a burger and fries. I didn't try the burger but I could tell it was made well just by looking at it. Hubster had the shepherd's pie which looked amazing and tasted great as well. We really want to come back to try their burgers which are a mix of 3 different meats, yes please. It was pretty quiet when we came in for dinner, few tables taken and some patrons sitting at the bar. Looks like a great local spot for a beer and some comfort food. Will definitely be back again.
I've been coming to tommy's for a long time. It's always a good close bar for my friends and I to get together at, mostly we're there for 5 for 5 (5 beers for 5 dollars) on Tuesday nights. I enjoy the set up of the bar its just sad that some nights it can be very dead, so its not always the best place if your looking to socialize.
Haven't eaten here in a long time so I can't comment on the food. As far as the service goes everyone here is awesome fast efficient and fun to mess with. The bartenders are awesome all of them you can joke with and have a great time. There are always in treating and fun people here as well cool place to hang out and drink. They have food but as I said I haven't eaten it so I can't comment on that. Tuesday is 5 beers for 5$ come enjoy meet people. There is usually a dj we'd dancing so enjoy.
Came here for lunch and it was surprisingly delicious – definitely going to make this a regular visit. Started off with a cup of chicken noodle soup (definitely not cup o noodle) and then had the mushroom mozzarella salad. Two large, well seasoned grilled mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and homemade vinaigrette – hit the spot. The side of fries were crispy – just how I like them. Can't wait to come here when I can enjoy a glass of wine with my meal! Hurry up third trimester tommy fox's awaits!
Ps- $15 for $30 groupon = winning
5 beers for $5 on tuesday nights, will in fact..cause you to black out and make you crawl home.
another plus about this spot, if you ask to schedule something for a birthday group, they will work out specials for you..kinda like an extended happy hour.
happy hour otheriwse, isnt the bomb diggity. drinks arent too cheap otherwise. ive never eaten here, but quite a few friends have and said the food was a-okay.
it gets packed on tuesday and friday nights…and on saturdays when they have bands..which really sucks because the place isnt that big.
parking lot in the back is such a savior!
Well weren't we surprised by this gem?! Enthusiastic 4 stars.
Here's the rundown:
Excellent service.
Lovely restaurant, all broken up so that you actually get to eat in relative privacy without feeling like you're in a huge restaurant – although it is, in fact, really big. And the music playing on the stereo was really fun.
Reservations were not needed at 6:30 on a Saturday night, although we have no idea how that's possible.
Bread basket was simply awesome. I could have had just that and been happy.
French onion soup was completely delicious, beefy, oniony, cheesy. Among the best ever.
Potato and bacon soup was just okay, needed to be punched up with flavor.
Sliced steak was another winner, cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, with succulent gravy. It was paired with garlic bread (comes underneath, but I got it on the side) that was decent, and potato wedges and onion rings that were both good.
Fish and chips were bangin'. You get a choice of one piece of fish or two – although one is absolutely large enough for most people. Yummy tartar sauce, cole slaw, and fries accompany the fresh-out-of-the-fryer flaky, sweet fish.
With a couple drinks (one soft, one hard), the bill before tip was only $55!
We will absolutely be back!
