  1. Taking a look at the reviews and the pictures its pretty easy to come to the conclusion that the most popular items here are the couples set and the special set.

So my northern boulevard crawl continues! and my latest foray was in this quaint establishment. Extremely casual, fairly cheap korean food, this place is set up to look like a coffee shop out of some childrens picture book, but I digress onto the what everyone really comes to yelp for…..the food!

I ordered the special set, which came with tonkatsu, korean rice cake (ddukbokkie), and a side of okonomiyaki rice.

The portions were generous and the price was extremely reasonable. For 20 dollars this meal could have easily fed three people, or in my case two extremely gluttonous, voracious eaters. However the food was all fairly average as nothing besides the price and the portions really impressed me all that much.

The tonkatsu was extremely thin and skimpy, it wasn't soft and pillowy as I've come to expect of typical tonkatsus, but was instead pretty tough, hard and dry. Honestly this was the only item that was subpar.

The rice cakes were pretty good, mixed in with ramen and topped with half a hard boiled egg, this dish tasted good, but again is pretty average

The okonomiyaki rice was a treat. Unique in the aspect that I've never had anything like this before, this was definitely my favorite portion of the meal. The combination of fried rice, octopus, masago and bonito flakes really worked together great, giving this dish a very unique kick to go along with the other dishes.

This place has fairly averge food, but with great portions at a reasonable price, casual no frills eaterys like this really are getting harder and harder to find! would definitely come back to sample more of the menu!

  2. Portions are pretty good. Our party had 3 adults and 3 kids. We had the couples special, fried rice, bulgogi rice ball, gyoza and a few other items.  We actually over ordered but everything was delicious. Service was decent but the one thing was that the only big enough table was directly under the AC which was on full blast and it was freezing. I had to put on a sweater and you could see the wind blowing our hairs. The waitress didn't offer to change the direction of the AC even though she saw that I put on my hoodie over my head too. Btw it was maybe 70 degrees outside at 11am, not that hot.

  3. My go-to kimbap place. Within a block from the vicinity, there's about 2-3 other places that make kimbap. However, I found this place to have more option, and it looks cleaner inside.
Although they have other food on the menu, I only come here for the rolls.

They don't have a parking lot and the place is tiny inside, but I have never seen it that crowded.

Im a sucker for the spicy tuna & avocado roll.

Also, you don't have to order from the (kimbap) menu. I customized my order a couple of times and they never obliged.

  4. Came here to pick up a few kimbap rolls for my friend's birthday party. This place is really small and only has enough seating for about 15 people. It does seem a little run down but the seating area did seem clean though. There is definitely a language barrier issue. The workers don't really speak English, only Korean, so I think the best way to order is just to say which number kimbap you want.

I got the Rolly, Spicy bulgogi, and Omelette kimbap and I found them all to be very standard and tasty. I mean you can't really expect anything mind blowing from kimbap but the ones here definitely met my expectations. $15.50 for 3 rolls which is a great deal for a cheap, delicious and filling meal!

  5. Oh Rolly rolly polly holly… they get it. This place understands the concepts of "improve + evolve" because their ddukbooki is actually good now – it's spicy! They seemed to have read all the yelp reviews of their bland tasting ddubooki and decided to do something about it. They're food overall is better tasting.

The last several times I've been here, I've gotten the combo meal for 2. It comes with dukbboki, kimchi fried rice, and tonkatsu. It's a perfect amount of food to share with another person. They're also really cool about substituting other similar/like things in place of the current options like, rabboki instead of regular ddukbboki or I don't know.. whatever your heart desires, I guess. Good job Rolly Kimbap *clap clap*.

  6. Not bad.. It's one of my go to spots for when I am craving Kimbap. I tend to go to Nolbu a block away b/c they give you more filling in the roll but Rolly has a wider range of menu items. You can even get breakfast sandos (crossaint/bagel with ham/bacon, etc) which is not bad. Combo meals that everyone mentions is a great value but don't feel the need to order it there are plenty of other items on the menu that are decently priced. Only complaint  is that the omurice ($9) had no meat, you need to pay extra $2 bux for some bacon/ham in it. Also, the seafood in the spicy seafood ramen tasted like it was frozen for quite awhile, not the freshest, but eh, can't really expect them to carry fresh mussels, shrimp, etc when they specialize in kimbap. Also, this place is only a block away from the Broadway LIRR stop which is always convenient. Try and pay cash, there's a Chase two doors down.

  7. Probably my most torn review in terms of feelings for this place. The food is all decent, cheap and come in large portions, but the service is so awful on so many accounts for both dine in and take out experiences.

There are so many options of kimbab here. All the rolls are very large and stuffed, and they fill you up very quickly. My personal favorites are the crab salad and pork cutlet. The spam and spicy chicken rice balls are also a cheap favorite as well. All the orders (dine in and take out) come with complimentary miso soup which occasionally has a mild kick from the addition of jalapeños in the broth.

The service by a bunch of immature teenagers is awful. Once had to call the place back for a refund since they forgot to give me an item of my take out order. They've messed up the phone order on more than one occasion for me as well, so make sure they repeat your order back to you. As for dine in, it's not even worth tipping as service is nonexistent and inattentive. Such a shame for this place.

  8. I'm here for the second time. Cheap and yummy!! I was having the crunch kimbap and I am having it again because it's so tasty!!! Crunch and big.. Although they have good business but their service is good too, probably because the shop is small enough to take a glimpse of view with just two second. The only one star I am saving is for the space. If you have a group more than 5, you are in trouble getting a seat. Today I'm ordering cup bab, one is donkatsu one is bulgogi. Both were ok. They were not served hot so not my thing. I would not recommend them if you want some hot yummy food.

Anyway, I tried the boiled beef soup and suntofu , they were pretty good!
