I've been here a few times and have found it to be subpar to other Brooklyn bakeries. The pastries are not nearly as soft or fresh, yet it is priced equivalently. The selection of a la carte treats are significantly less than what is typical elsewhere.
I picked up a bunch of pareve desserts for New Year's Eve because pareve is dairy-free and suitable for vegans. We had cherry-blueberry layer crumb cakes; vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon rugelach; and sugar-free jam-filled cookies. Everything was kinda dry and boring, and the cookies were particularly tasteless. However, the borekas remain delicious. So now I'm on the hunt for a better kosher pareve bakery in Brooklyn.
