  1. This tiny no thrills hole in the wall ramen house serves a good bowl of ramen. Is this the best bowl of ramen I've had in this city?  No, but it's good and I really love the old school tiny noodle shop appeal of this place. It's a one man show with a hard working owner who cooks everything and when he doesn't have help is the waiter as well. The shoyu is my favorite, it's very basic but really hits the spot for my noodle craving every time.  Shoyu has a flavorful, clean broth,  thin firm noodles, spinach, seasoned egg, fish cake, nori, bamboo, and a nicely seasoned slice of roasted pork. The seafood ramen is also really lovely and packed with seafood. Pork buns are delish, seaweed salad is good, gyoza nicely done. Now one thing to mention about this place is the the chef is from China but he studied and worked in a Tokyo ramen house for many many years before coming to NYC and opening his own place. The chef is so nice. Last time we went he sent us complementary appetizer of edamame and cheese spring rolls (interesting creation and quite yummy!). There are many Chinese-Japanese styled ramen and other dishes on the menu and they are good. Mapo tofu is yummy. The wantons are so delicate and good you may want to try them 😉 The ramen is priced from $8-$14. The shoyu is $9 very reasonably priced for a bowl of ramen these days. Give this place a try. Unpretentious good eats made by a hard working guy. 🙂
