  1. Amidst the sea of Korean bars a new sushi/sashimi place has opened up on Northern Blvd; Cheong Hae Jin closed a while ago.

Came here for my dad's birthday today and ordered the sushi/sashimi combination deluxe ($150). Was it worth it? I thought so. Between 5 people, we became full for the amount they served.

On top of that, I love Korean sushi place for one reason though, the appetizers. Korean sashimi restaurants are known for their grilled/baked/steamed goods served before the actual meal. This place was no exception.

For a total of $185 (including a drink order of saki and tax), the price isn't too bad. Meal was filling and and the fish was definitely fresh.

I took a star off cause the waiters were all over the place. I saw three people serving one table…

  2. Came here and ordered the $100 Sashimi Deluxe Special. The menu didn't provide any pictures nor it provided any details on what this special consisted of. The waitress wasn't very fluent in English and she seemed to speak Korean instead. Thus, couldn't get too much detail on the special. Therefore, I am not sure what was included in the special and what was complementary. But, overall the dining covered a lot of food…

When the food came, it was a great surprise. The Sashimi Deluxe Special came with lots of food ranging from congee, beef, sashimi salad, corn, fish, pancake, sardines, bbq shrimps, soups, seafood assortment, clams, sushi assortment, and sashimi assortment. They were all fresh, clean, and delish!

Overall, the eating experience is superb. Well recommended for you. If possible try the $150 or $200 Special. I am sure it will blow your mind + belly away! LOL

  3. We came here last night around 9pm and was thoroughly surprised. We were pleasantly greeted with Korean porridge and it was perfect.

We ordered the $120.00 deluxe special that was suggested for 3-4 people. There was 4 of us.

When the waiter told us we got side dishes, I expected side dishes not full course meals.

Here are just SOME of the SIDE dishes they gave us.

    A whole FRIED fish- WHATTT?
    NaengMyun in spicy go-chu-jang sauce.
    A soup with tofu etc
    Small seafood pancake
    Fried fish with tartar sauce
    Kimbap
    These little rice bowls
    A sashimi salad

-EXTRA- from now until August, you get a side of octopus and Lobster so GOGOGO. It was super fresh! And they take out the meat for you…

So finally we got to the sashimi dishes, We got a starter that had squid squirt and oysters, red clams, live octupus in sesame oil and wasabi. And so this dish we could of done without.
I only ate the red clams and one oyster. Beware the oysters is not what you think! It taste like the Atlantic Ocean. As well as squid squirt, i felt like it gave me a hangover.

Moving on to the final round, the actual sashimi dish. It was amazing! Super fresh and they gave plenty!

We declined the soup and bibibap at the end.. I know right? More food? Anyways we did not want to waste food as we were super full already.

  4. It's okay. I personally like the bada story across the street a lot better. Everything tastes like fish… Even the salad.
