The Union for Traditional Judaism used A&A for its annual dinner last November, and I was very pleased with the quality and service. The mini hamburgers and full-sized franks were well-cooked and well-seasoned. The salads were sumptuous and very fresh; the meatballs and chicken dishes prepared superbly. I enjoyed everything they prepared, and I even schmoozed with the owner, who is a fellow chazzan. They are also under the Tav haYosher, which indicates their commitment to ethical practices in labor matters and in business, which is most commendable.
A&A is a well priced deli with quality food which is great for takeout. The food is very homey.
I had a small lunch platter with a side salad for under $8. It included stuffed cabbage in a delicious red sauce along with yellow mixed vegetable rice. It healthy and filling. The side salad was lightly marinated cucumbers with onions. It was a little bitter and salty which was a nice contrast to the platter which was hearty and savory.
Note that it's catering or takeout only. There is no seating at the deli. Also note that there is a $10 minimum for credit card transactions.
