  1. I was a bridesmaid at Westbury Manor this past summer. It was AMAZING. All the staff was incredibly friendly and really fun. The food was awesome. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. The couple was originally planning for an outdoor ceremony, but due to rain, they moved the ceremony inside with no hesitation.

  2. I came here for a wedding like most people.  The decor of the place was nice and it was a nice classic wedding venue.  The wedding that I attended was that or a friends, so I had time to enjoy the place, rather than stress out during the wedding.

There was 2 other weddings going on that night.  Which was fine, each party had their own things going on.

I felt that the food and service was a bit lacking.  The food did look good, and the service was decent, but I felt compared to other wedding venues I have attended, this place was a bit disappointing.   The layout of the food was very presentable, but the food was just passable.  For wedding, you go there for the marrying couple, to have fun, and for the food.  At least that's what I go for.

I would say you can come here and check it out yourself.  The parking lot of a plus, it was huge.

  3. Now this is a truly great venue. I was here for a holiday party and was thoroughly impressed.

Food: everything seemed quite well displayed and made. The vanilla ice cream desserts were to die for.

Service: quite responsive and people were very polite, which is rare for places like these.

Decor: the entry-way is rather small and it can therefore get crowded easily. Otherwise quite beautiful.

  4. Came here last night for a banquet. It was very pleasant. It was nice to pull up to a driveway and see  manicured lawns and shrubbery. Walking in, it is traditionally decorated to that of a home from the early 1900s. There are lush flowers and plants that are placed on tables, and on mantles.

The rooms are very well kept and clean. I must point out that the dance floor in the room we had was great. I point this out because the banquet I attended had a significant amount of people older than 60 there. The floor wasnt slippery. Even for me, I'd hate to go down in my 6 inch heels. Slipping on a dance floor is no bueno!  So, yeah, great floor lol.

We started off with a salad. It had crumbled blue cheese or feta, with spinach leaves, mushroom sprouts, and a pear. It was sweet, but not bad!  It was a great spring salad. For dinner, i had the filet mignon made medium. I enjoyed the steak very much. The potatoes were a little hard, but wasn't so bad. The brocoli was steamed well. It seemed a little bland, but that's alright. It's better to be safe than sorry. All it needed was a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and everything tasted awesome!

Hubby had the salmon.  I had a piece of it, and it was made well. I'm glad I didnt order it, as the entire dish would have been too sour for my liking. The accompaniment of rice and brocoli wasn't bad. That also needed some salt and pepper.

For dessert, we had icecream topped with crunchies and a side of whipped cream. I can't ever complain about dessert. All-in-all, I had a wonderful time here.

I went out into the back where there was plenty of outside seating, a well-lit fountain, a garden and the garden's bridge. Beautiful place for all occassions.

  5. The duck a l'orange I ate Saturday night deserves Five stars by itself. I even had dreams about eating duck after going to sleep, but it isn't just the food that has me appreciating Westbury Manor.
The service is top notch. Whenever my friends and I walked to the bar the bartender was already pouring our drinks because he remembered what beverage went with what face.
If you like the outdoors, this is the perfect place for a spring or summer wedding. I've been to both cocktail hours and ceremonies in the beautiful gardens with ponds, waterfalls, and resident peacocks.
Westbury manor is classy and won't disappoint.

  6. What a banging experience!   Great food and great live music is always better with great company!

We ordered tuna tartar to have it was delicious fresh

    Finicchio salad amazing

I reccomend the chocolate mouuse cake for dessert and share it is huge! Super chocolately!

French martinis pack a strong punch!
    Frank was a great server!

  7. The bartender was helpful with the choices of wines. The D.J. was ok. I was surprised that I didn't like most of the food. The shrimp from my shrimp and salmon was good. It was imbeded in a tasty stuffing. The salmon was a little overcooked. This is common in mass cooked meals, but many venues do it better. The chicken was so firm and rubbery that my associate had to send hers back. Although the steak was medium rare, it was on the tough side, and not tasty. The side asparagus was ok.
Two of my associates came late and ordered at the same time. One had dinner, but they forgot the other's so he left without a meal.
The dessert was ice cream that was freezer burned. Not fresh, not good. I left before the coffee. Maybe it was an off day. It was a Wednesday.

  8. Came here for a wedding over the weekend.  While we didn't enjoy the space outside the food was pretty good.  A few missteps like burning a napkin when a server placed the bread basket next to a candle on the table, a piece of old mushy tomato in my salad, but all in all most of the staff tries to make sure you're getting what you need.  Water could have been made more available in both rooms during cocktail rooms also.

If you're coming here as a guest, skip the valet and just park yourself – you'll get out fast after the wedding is over.

If you're looking for a (traditional) place to hold a wedding yourself, this place could be considered.
