Although Glatt Mart is on my corner and should be a convenience for me, the state of the store is appalling and pretty unpleasant to shop at.
As a grocery store, they stock a variety of great kosher items at reasonable prices including meats, poultry and fish. The problem is walking through the store there is a smell of bad milk and rain. That's what I think of when entering the store. There is no upkeep and I don't think they've changed a thing since they first opened.
I also never find anyone if I need help with an item. There's just a couple of cashiers at the front but no supervisors manning the shelving area.
I really only enter Glatt Mart if I absolutely have an emergency and can't walk an extra block to Pomegranate.
This place has the best prices on Kosher meat. I came all the way from Crown Heights to Midwood to pick up lamb here. I got lamb stew. They had one family pack for $4.99 a pound. I wanted more. So the GREAT staff told me I could take two more expensive smaller packs and they would combine them and charge me the price per pound of the family pack. The staff there is incredible. And if you give them your phone number and your earn 300 points you receive $5 off a purchase.
This place has great quality Kosher beef and a nice grocery selection. If you are looking for kosher groceries, this place has a nice selection, but not the largest.
Glatt Mart is one of the better kosher butchers in Brooklyn. They make many varieties of hard-to-find kosher meats, including the Yekke favorite, aufschnitt, in several varieties, including with olives and pistachios. Their devotion to quality and artisanal charcuterie is obvious in the selection of cured meats they prepare and sell, which also includes several varieties of salami and jerky. I am most impressed by their pepperoni sticks. They sell the most delicious kosher pepperoni (Rubashkin's used to make kosher pepperoni, but Glatt Mart is now one of the only sources for it in the NYC area), which even many non-kosher keepers have raved about. I've even prepared fleshig pizza using their pepperoni, slicing it thinly and serving it on pizza made with parve Daiya cheese. The spices and flavors are almost exactly the same as the treif varieties of pepperoni.
I also greatly enjoy their prepared foods. The Chinese special (a pound each of meat and fried rice) is a great deal for those seeking a convenient and substantial dinner. Furthermore, I absolutely love their veal burgers and pastrami burgers; both are hefty, seasoned well, and taste delicious heated and served on a Kaiser roll with ketchup and mayonnaise, and for $2.50 a piece, they're also an incredible bargain in my book, making for a convenient and tasty meal.
I am also amazed by their array of gefilte fish; an entire case of at least 10 different brands and varieties of frozen gefilte fish loaves is on display, including their own in-house gefilte fish, which is quite nice, when paired with a sharp chrein.
My only complaint is that they often don't like giving people sturdy shopping bags; they insist on giving those flimsy, easy-to-tear bags, which reflects pettiness and a lack of concern for the customer. The store is a goldmine; the prices on their meat are high. They don't need to be petty over shopping bags.
And in the interest of convenience, I do appreciate the fact that they sell a variety of Palagonia Italian breads (OU), as well as a wide array of "chalav stam" dairy items. While I generally prefer to buy such items for less at a mainstream supermarket, it is indeed convenient to be able to pick up yogurt, or cookies, or ice cream, in the same place where I buy meats and deli.

The prices are rather high, even for Kosher beef.
