  1. This place has changed quite a bit since it opened. Came in recently and realized that they took their Sul Lung tang options away. What!?

They replaced it with Dweji Guk Bap and Soondae Guk. Not sure why they did that…  There seems to be an abundance of Soondae places around the area now…

Service is sparse. Usually they have only one waitress for the entire dining room.

  2. This is a new restaurant which specialize on dishes made of beef.  It used to be called To Soc Chon, which was one of my favorites.  The interior didn't really change my other than the menu, but I am not sure if the management is the same.  We ordered beef bone broth with cartilages (Dogani Tang) and regular bone broth with briskets (Sul lung Tang).  Both of them were very good for our taste.  They also serve very tasty kimchi with napa cabbage and one with horseradish, which is not to miss, either.

  3. This place has amazing Don- Ca- Ni tang ( Ox knee soup) and really generous portion. I came here last night with ex-coworkers, we both ordered the special combo which include one  ox-bone soup ( you can choose either sul-lung tang or Don Ca Ni Tang ) and Grilled mackerel for $17.99. We almost had difficulties walking out of the door because we just ate too much and we were all too full.
The ban-chan ( free appetizers) are really good, the kim-chi is really really delicious and the cold tofu with chilli sauce is also really delicious. The ox-knee soup has really rich soup base and is full of ox knees that cooked to super tender, I really really like it!
I am so happy this restaurant is so close to me and I just can't wait to come back again!

  4. Food here is legit, very good. The menu is very similar to Busan Gookbap, but offers significantly more options.

  5. Truly authentic Korean food. Really incredible dishes that remind me of home.
Sundae guk is perfectly prepared with a generous amount of sundae.
Haenae tang is very unique with its bold flavor, and makes you crave for some more after.
Side dishes are all delectable and their kimchi is one of the best I've had in the NY/NJ area.
The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because of the slow service.
The waiting staff were friendly enough, but we had to wait way too long for our water. I had to ask four times. This wasn't during a peak hour, either, so I couldn't understand as to why this happened. But still, the food was good, so I'll most likely be returning.

  6. I think this may be one of the best Korean restaurants in Fort Lee.  It reminds me of the old school Korean restaurants where the focus is on the food and less on the service.  This isn't a 5 star restaurant by any means.  You're not going to have a team of server waiting on you, attentive to your needs.  If you need anything, just call over to a waiter/waitress and tell them what you want.  If you decide to bring a non-Korean date here, and she complains about the service, just tell her to shut and eat the food.  Just kidding, don't say that – but you can tell her that this is how old school Korean restaurants are like (in the country side).  You'll impress her with your knowledge, she'll enjoy the food, and you'll be happy with the bill.

I ordered the dol pan bi bim bap, which basically stone pan mixed rice.  It comes with a large helping of different types of vegetables and beef over rice.  The hot stone pan cooks the rice giving it a crisp texture.  You are provided Korean red pepper sauce to mix the rice and vegetables in to add a bit of heat/spiciness to the dish.  You're also given a small bowl of soup (sullung tang) which is really rich (very white broth) and tasty.

The food taste / quality / value combo makes this place one of the best in Fort Lee.  Parking is a bit odd, as you're not supposed to park in the lot across the street (belongs to the bank) or next door (belongs to the mini-mall).  You're limited to street parking.  Given the history of restaurants that have come and gone at this location, I really hope this place thrives.

  7. Came for the first time Saturday night and place was not too packed. Ordered tendon soup & spicy dried veggie soup with intestines and blood cubes in it.
Service was fairly good considering the # of waitress vs patrons there. Upon ordering, food came out pretty quickly. Taste was authentic, portions were generous and price was fairly cheap. Parking can be a bit tricky since there is no lot attached.  Make sure to street park and not leave your car in the Chase bank lot.

  8. My mom swears by the Ox tail soup from this place and their banchan — be sure to specifically ask for the spicy octopus banchan.  My dad wishes he could eat this soup every day.  They must cook the bones for a long time because the rich milky broth is legit.

We always order it to go and the ahjoomah always kindly wraps up our items with banchan for them.

Parking is a bit of a challenge but it's truly worth it.
