  1. Typical middle eastern fare, very nice inside and comfortable seating. I got the schwarma platter and it was ok, a bit dried out w/not a lot of flavor. My dining companion got the falafel platter w/different spreads, which was also ok, but not great.

Frankly, the prices are WAY too high for what you get for your money. I would not likely return here.

  2. I have been here a few times. I always get the shawarma with grilled vegetables. The shawarma is good. The vegetables could be seasoned better. For the price I wish they added pita and hummus. Once I ordered the salad platter with a few different salads. The hummus is good.

The service is okay, many of the waiters are not very friendly and patient.

    They do not deliver.

  3. I just finished eating my first meal from grill time. It was a takeout order of grilled baby chicken with israeli salad, white rice and techina (sorry if spelling is incorrect) sauce.   Omg it was truly the best!  The flavor of the grill was delicious.

  4. I'm almost scared to give grill time 2 stars given it's  recent perfect record, but I have to be honest. Baby chicken shawarma tasted NOTHING like shawarma…it was dry curry chicken, so just call it curry chicken. The beef kufta was decent but certainly not special.  I'm reluctant to write the review without having tried their falafel, but I'm certain I won't be going back.  Murray's Falafel (in Stuyvesant Town/Gramercy), King of Falafel & Shawarma (in Astoria) or Ilili's (Flatiron district) are all light-years better and still has in my opinion the best shawarma. I understand geography is an issue, but that is no reason to give a place more stars. The service was also a little awkward.

  5. Decent food but unreasonable manager/staff. Restaurant was empty during peak dinner hour when I visited. I asked them for a "schwafel" (half schwarma half falafel) sandwich and was told they could not make that for me instead of being accomodating. I was forced to order things separately, which by the way ended up costing them money in the long run because I ended up sharing these dishes with my friend instead of both of us ordering entrees.

I then asked to sub out the fries that come with the sandwich for spicy fries. Spicy fries are the same price on the menu. They wouldnt accomodate this either, and when we said we were going to leave the waitress finally got the manager. The manager initially stood by this policy and explained "the options are salad or fries. Salad if you want to be healthy." Lol

After convincing him, he ended up "making an exception, but just this once." We even offered to pay a surcharge for the damn fries.

Needless to say, by the time the food came after this debockle, our experience had already been soured and we felt uncomfortable. Food was a B all around, if they fixed thir attitudes I guess I would reorder the chicken schwarma. But until then, shalom betches!

  6. The food was awesome!  We went for lunch and we enjoyed the steak, Israeli salad, hummus and  assorted vegetables.  The service was great and we had a very pleasant experience.
