“parked on the street as it was easy to find spot; they have a covered lot too but it might have been valet.”
“they usually bring out a steamed egg in a hotpot as service, sometimes haemool pajun as well.”
“I'm notorious for wrapping up all my left overs because I cannot finish everything in one seating and to my surprise, they let us take everything home including the ban chans!”

Finally tried this place after living in the area my whole life. I think it's exactly what I imagined it being. Good korean bbq, but expensive. I think it's getting worse, price-wise, with the NYC lifestyle spilling over into this area. The food here is good. My gf gets lunch here often and the soups are really good. As for the korean bbq for dinner, it's good, but again, overpriced. However, the service here is awesome. Waitresses always at your table, constantly cooking meat for you and getting banchan without having to ask. Drinks are plentiful, but again, pricey. It's definitely worth a shot if you want to splurge for a night out.
so I've been here in two separate occasions and I must say that I'm not very impressed. their kalbi is subpar compared to other Korean restaurants and their pricing is quite expensive. their service seems fake nice and they blatantly ignored any complaints or concerns we had. there seems to be some inconsistencies with their side dishes. we didn't get the steamed egg and only got like five unimpressive side dishes. what annoys me above all else is when Korean restaurants want to charge you for extra rice!! mind you, their bowls of rice are super small… cool if you're into portion control but uncool if you want more because there's a price for more rice.
today I got the hwedupbap which I must say they went overboard with the portions. my mom and I split and we still had a decent amount left over. very fresh and refreshing nonetheless. we had the yookhwe which was okay, I've had way better. I didn't like that it was half frozen when it came out… my dad got some sort of maewoontang which he enjoyed but the portion was soooo small.
I'll probably come here again if my parents wanted to but wouldn't recommend it to friends because there are many Korean restaurants in the Bergen county area that are way better!
Consistent Korean Galbi and Nengmyun. The ventilation system could be better though. Don't wear clothing that you need to stay fresh or plan to go out afterwards. It's a great place for a group and the service is good. It can be pricey if you order a lot of BBQ but the quality of the meat is top notch so IMO worth the extra bucks.
Mama wants Korean food for her birthday? BOOM. We're here.
First time here, and i can see why my mom really enjoyed it (she came here during the winter with her coworkers- she would not stop talking about the steamed egg haha)
Great bahn chan (small plates of appetizers) selection- I especially liked the pickled eggplant sprinkled with sesame (other such bahn chan were some bean sprouts, broccoli, salad, fish cakes… really, just A LOT of little plates)
For KBBQ, we got an order of the pork belly and bulgogi- both delicious, and cooked perfectly. (our server really took great care of us!). We also ordered seafood pajun, bibimbap, and some naeng myun.
Def a little pricey, but really worth it. Great place to host guests, I would think!
I have been going here for years and it seems like they are finally getting better at what they used to be known for. This should always pride themselves on Korean BBQ. Their regular korean menu is not that great so if you are in the mood for other dishes then try specialty restaurants nearby.
Ribeye Steak on hot stone grill is one of my favorites. It's grilled with onions and garlic. You can dip little bit of the meat on the salt & pepper and sesame oil sauce. Perhaps a lettuce wrap with chopped scallions and bean paste with grilled garlic and green pepper cuts.
Pork Belly is also phenomenal. It's not like those thin mostly fat slices. It's a thick cut grilled with fermented kimchee and served together. I normally grab a slice with kimchee and wrap it up with lettuce. It's pretty solid.
Marinated Kalbi is for those with sweet tooth. It is tender, thinly sliced and cooked over an open charcoal grille. Yeah, if you like that type of bbq then go for it. It goes perfect with sliced scallions and bean paste for that extra kick.
Very happy with dinner here even with smoky cook at table experience. The selections are excellent, classic Korean BBQ fare, ample amount of food to say the least, good quality ingredients and fresh veggies. I like the atmosphere here too – upscale but comfortable. Staff very friendly and valet parking under building. What's not to like? Recommended.
Good Korean BBQ spot in Jersey. The quality was pretty good and the side dishes that came out were good sized portions. Service was great too.
I've been here a number of times and am really annoyed that they now charge for extra rice or ban chan! (Someone else posted a photo.) I'm not sure when it started but it definitely wasn't always the case.
Other than that, I like the DB Kalbi (pref not prepared tableside or else I'll smell), the seafood pancake is ok. Soondoobu barely had any seafood. The quality of food of the kalbi and ban chan are good. We always go after the dinner crowd, so service is fine, but the last time we went, the lady was rushing us out of a half empty restaurant.
