“We tried the Mutton Sukha, Goat Biriyani and Paneer Butter Tikka Masala which were all so yummy and the naan was flaky and fresh…”
“As close as it gets to Hyderabadi dum biryani that you get in Hyderabad.”
“The goat chunks were pretty savory, even though not much was in the curry, but quality vs quantity and all that shenanigan.”

My hunt for the best biryani in NYC/Jersey City has started and this was one of the first disappointing stops. While the quantity was good, the biryani was too spicy. We tried, both the goat & chicken and the goat was better. Didn't really care for all the dark meat in the chicken or the spice levels. Definitely recommend doing a go-to order. The ambience is strictly below par.
The search continues!
This place, which somehow is a chain, had a large sign down the block advertising a midnight "biryani buffet." Well, there was biryani, but no apparent buffet. There was no menu posted but there was a sign outside mentioning daily specials. In fact, goat or vegetable biryani were the ONLY items available (this was 12:30 AM; they're open until 2 on weekends.)
The biryani itself wasn't notable. The brown sauce was good – spicy with some secret ingredient(s) that could have been peanut or possibly coconut. I didn't get a napkin and the water was lukewarm. There are better late-night options down the block.
Not sure I understand all the negativity about this place. The Biriyani is great and YES it's called Biriyani Point and it is delicious…Yes the interior and decor is nothing fancy but the food is top notch (try finding a good biriyani place is northern NJ/NYC). We tried the Mutton Sukha, Goat Biriyani and Paneer Butter Tikka Masala which were all so yummy and the naan was flaky and fresh…I'm a fan…
This can very truly compete for the worst Indian restaurant in Little India.. Coming from Albany we always crave for good Indian food in jersey city and there are so many nice options out there.. But not paradise point..
We should have known when the restaurant was empty on a weekend night.. Our waiter was nice and very attentive..But the food lacked taste and any flavor. And our dal tadka came after we finished dinner..
With so many options out there.. Why bother with paradise..
The food is a hit or miss, last night I ordered chicken tikka and boneless chicken biryani and both tasted below average. The chicken tikka seemed undercooked and boneless chicken in biryani was hard to chew. It took them 1.5 hrs to deliver the food and the excuse was that the driver is not here, well that's not my problem Coz I didn't pay any less to get the cold tasteless expensive food!!!!
We tried both the chicken biryani and egg biryani here and the portion sizes are decent. The biriyani is average
and a little too dry for me.(I prefer biryani with lots of masala).Tried the lassi too which was horrible. The server was friendly and quick and deserves a mention. Will not be dropping in again unless in the area with absolutely no other options.
As close as it gets to Hyderabadi dum biryani that you get in Hyderabad. Try it out and I'm sure you would love it.
