Small local bar on the corner that has a few TVs. It was nice that the noise level wasn't excessively loud considering there were a decent amount of people there.
The service wasn't all that great. I don't know if it's because they have a bell that you can buzz if you need something, but they were hard to flag down. We got up and got our own napkins and had to buzz for another pitcher.
They give frozen mugs and the beer is served in a frozen pitcher – the one thing I did like. We got 2 pitchers of Coors Light ($15) and an order of dry food platter (oh jin oh, wasabi peas, banana chips, pistachios, and a few slices of kim). I thought it was pricey for what we got/what it was (~$13). They seem to have a decent selection of soju, makoli and hard liquor.
I'll consider giving this place one more try for their food some other day… maybe.
Decent Korean chicken and beer. No parking, unless you count street parking. Probably better off going to Baden (up the hill) because they have a better beer selection. Nothing to see here any more.
Still one of my top choices of places to drink in the pal park/fort lee area.
Nice and casual, great for big groups or drinks and eats for 2.
The food is consistently good. I don't come here particularly because I'm craving their food, but their selection of Korean dishes are great to pair with some shots of Jame-O and pitchers of beers. I recommend their chicken wings, budae jjigae (stew with sausage, spam, noodles, veggies), dduk bok ki – if you want something spicy to munch on -(Korean rice dumpling stir fry)
They chill their beer mugs also which I love. Especially when you're particularly craving ICE COLD BEER on a hot summer night.
Early week night evenings, the after work crowd is mostly older peeps.
Late night Thurs-Sat/Sun you'll find it louder and rowdier with younger peeps.
Lots of TVs to watch games. They've got a "shrine" set up for the Giants (so beware Jets fans! JK JK!!) Super nice about changing channels on TVs if you want and no one else around minds.
Decor is basic with dark woods consistently throughout. Dimly lit ambiance.
PARKING TIP: Some parking available in the back but only about 3-4 spots so street parking is your best bet. Don't forget to feed the meters! Bergen cops don't hesitate to ticket!
Always a good choice here for drinks and eats!
They have really good cocktails. Prices are not too expensive as well.
I really liked their sweet chicken too. It is $18 and the portion is not big but it was still very good. Wanted to order another one but maybe next time, I will order two different order instead of one. The atmosphere is also good. Dark and they light the candle for each table, which sets the mood.
Other than their small portion, I was really happy with my visit.
