  1. Really cute ambience. It's in a public space with other stores/restaurants. It's nice because it's a quiet setting. The restaurant has an open space style so it feels very classy.

We had the rainbow roll, nare roll and another one I forgot. All were pretty good but not the best sushi I've had before. 3 signature rolls = $47 after taxes. Service was nice!

  2. The location is a little odd – inside a mall lobby or hotel lobby or something like that, but very nice inside. The servers are really nice and attentive, but the food in general is just ok. We ordered a lot of different rolls, nigiri, sashimi and salads but nothing really stood out as amazing, and the sushi rice was a little hard and bland.

  3. It is a secret little place inside an office building lobby.  Been  for both lunch and dinner.  Sashimi and sushi pieces are smaller than usual unfortunately.  Tempura and desserts are well done.

  4. This place is a little confusing to find because it's inside the building. It's a really small but cute spot. The sashimi/sushi combination platter isn't bad at all. Service was great as well.

  5. Eh. It's decent sushi, but not amazing.

Ambiance is cute. It's small and modern. They're located in the lobby of a building. I took it to go, so I can't speak much about the dining in experience.

The wait for take out is slow. Definitely not the place you want to get your lunch if you're in a hurry. They weren't that crowded and it's not like you have to cook the fish, so I'm not exactly sure why it took so long.

  6. Sent one of the partners at my firm them for lunch and he came back very happy. He said the sushi was good and it was cheap for NYC. They have a lunch special and he said for two people it was only $35. The portion of the lunch special is good as well. He said he didn't leave hunger! The location is in the ground level of and office building but it is an interesting atmosphere.

I am definitely going to try this venue and I will post pictures!

  7. I cannot even begin to express how great the customer service is here. I checked out this restaurant alone after a doctor's visit and while on the phone, I accidentally knocked over the soy sauce. Clumsy me, I got this everywhere – on the table, all over the floor, my lap, shoes, and bag included. The server (a young gentleman in his late twenties) quickly ran over with napkins and helped me clean up. He was very polite, sweet and calm. He showed me to the restroom and once I came out, everything looked squeaky clean. I felt terrible for making such a big mess and wasting the jar of soy sauce, but the server had the most positive attitude. I ordered the Chicken Teryaki lunch special, I would rate that 4/5, but I give Nare Sushi 5 stars for outstanding customer service. Thanks so much for keeping me calm during my painfully embarrassing/flustered moment!!! 🙂

  8. Our team came here for a short casual team lunch. Apparently goods and bads were both pretty obvious – Nara serves pretty authentic sushi courses (I liked my tuna roll) and kitchen food; however the wait was just incredibly long!

I would suggest to make reservation even during lunch hours, and do spare some extra time for waiting.
