3 Way Restaurant
“I ordered avocado (Florida type), yucca and beans.”
“The chicken here is a tad less salty/flavorful than I remember, but that could also be because NYC has been cutting down on transfer, MSG, etc. over the past several years.”
“The wait to order and get your food can sometimes be long, as this a popular joint with the locals, but since I figure that just speaks to its authenticity, I don't usually mind.”

Had dinner here with my girlfriend a few nights ago! Really small place to dine in but was relatively empty on a Thursday night. Most customer take out their food as the night progressed. I ordered the Pollo Guisado & my girlfriend order the Carne Guisado. Both orders with rice, beans & side order of tostones. Be warned, portions are MASSIVE & is not for people with small appetites (even the "lunch" portions). Decor was simplistic, waitress was nice, & food was delicious. We will definitely be stopping by again soon!
I'm not sure if I got the baked chicken or the rotisserie? I asked for a whole chicken and the lady grabbed a prepacked aluminum plate. The chicken is soft and salty, not too salty, but for those who like a crispy skin your going to be disappointed, but I've got to say the chicken has been consistently delicious and well seasoned.
Ok, let me start off by saying the ONLY reason I left out the fifth star was because the walk-in service is abominable. However, I somewhat understand, because the space is cramped and PACKED with Bronx peeps needing their chicken and rice AHORA!!!!
I used to work down the block which is how I know of this place. The best find in the area by far, and that's saying a lot because Pollo Al Carbon is very prevalent around the neighborhood. The chicken is cooked perfectly and spiced to intoxication. I almost fainted a few times from the rice and the garlic sauce. No, really. It has so much MSG that I got dizzy a couple of times after lunch. But it's sooo good and the portions are gigantic so you can save some. And it's super cheap!
Over-the-phone ordering can be tricky if you don't speak Spanish, so be forewarned. Also, sometimes they randomly run out of avocado. But if they have it, you should try the salad with avocado, beets, and corn. A good healthy way to start off your meal of sin.
Also? Some friends of mine have ordered breakfast sandwiches here with sausage and egg, and have loved it. BONUS: AMAZING Dominican coffee. Strong and sweet.
Let me start off saying I don't eat meat, so I will not be rating the chicken, but according to my father it was really good. This place has counter and full service seating. I went around 1pm and it was pretty crowded. The menu is standard Dominican food: rice, beans, chicken, plantain. I ordered avocado (Florida type), yucca and beans. The beans don't have meat in them, which is good. The portions are large; you could totally share. The prices are reasonable.
