  1. met up with a few friends and tried this place for the first time.
If you're used to or have been to a korean owned japanese place, this place does not veer too far from the standard japanese/korean cuisine.
They have a variety of bento boxes (fried rice, cali roll, dumplings, salad and a main meat). On top of sushi, udon and bento boxes, they have a good range of korean dishes. Simple Jjigaes and bulgogi-type dishes.

I had the pork katsu bento – the katsu was a bit on the thinner side and drenched in katsu sauce – so order the sauce on the side if you're looking get katsu. Other than that, it was pretty standard – nothing stood out to me. My friends got hwe-dub bap – korean version of chirashi bowl – and shrimp tempura udon. Good portions and great price.

If you are looking for a low key lunch spot in Wayne, try this place

  2. I stopped in last Saturday night for some dinner with a group of friends and found myself questioning why I don't come here more often. We were a group of 5 and brought a few bottles of wine which the servers promptly opened and provided glasses for. 4 of us decided to share the Lee 4 combination which was 20 pieces of nigiri sushi, 30 pieces of sashimi, a california roll, and a spicy tuna roll. We also shared a rainbow roll which was a spicy tuna roll wrapped in slices of tuna, salmon, and avocado. I'm not crazy for the rolls but they were good if that's your thing. The nigiri and sashimi was excellent and sliced just right. I'm still thinking about the fatty tuna right now. Another person at our table got the galbi (korean bbq short-rib platter). I tried a piece and let's just say I know what I want next time. The complimentary wakame salad was very good too. Service was very polite, quick, and accomodating: they even put the knicks-heat game on at our request and let us stick around to see the end of the game and finish our wine.

  3. Great sushi in a low key atmosphere.  Extremely friendly service, great "extras" as appetizers / desserts.  The spicy rice complimentary appetizer is great with a cold beer.  BYOB or liquor store 2 doors down.

Try it out; you'll be back.

  4. Some things just keep getting better. Since my last review, this restaurant has added almost a dozen new Korean dishes. This includes several more soups, and several Korean style stews. If you haven't been there yet, make it a point to go. Things do get better and better and better!

  5. Nice enough looking place, plain wooden tables, paper napkins, chopsticks.  I did not notice any background music.  Service was fast and professional. Our server forgot to ask if anyone wanted a fork. Food came out of the kitchen quickly.  Lunch specials are cheap enough.

My friend had a Chicken Box (grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce); I had the Korean-style Bulgoki Box (pan fried marinated sirloin beef).  Both were good but nothing special.

If this was closer to the office, I might be inclined to try it again for more of the menu.  Worth a try if you are local.

  6. I was introduced to Lee's by my girlfriend who grew up nearby and loves their sushi. She has converted me to be a fan! We normally get take out from here but they also are a BYOB, which is a plus. All of the ingredients are fresh and the rolls are reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly and is happy to help with large orders.

  7. *spicy sushi rice (WHAT?!!! OMG!!! This is soooo good. I can honestly just eat this instead of their sushi, honestly. The rice was so soft, fluffy, perfectly sticky and then that sauce that is similar to spicy mayo spread all over the top… ugh… I can't. I loved this!!!!)
*miso soup (not feeling this; super salty and not much flavor there)
*fantastic roll (spicy tuna and crunch inside, with salmon, tuna, avocado, mango and crunch on top; meh, not that great, it had a weird texture to it and almost no flavor; it was like fishy jello with rice; I did not enjoy this roll at all)
*Lee roll (eel, crab, avocado and shrimp covered with salmon, fish roe, scallion and special sauce; also blah, what the hell??? I thought I couldn't go wrong ordering an eel roll; once again, lack of flavor and not sure what "special sauce" they're using but it's not that special to me)

This place is conveniently off Rt 23. It's cute inside. Can't say too much about the service since I only got take out. Overall, food is alright. Can't say I would order their sushi again. I would try their noodle dishes but the only definite thing is coming back for the sushi rice. LOL.
