“The place gets packed, deliveries take forever…but think about it, that's because the food is so friggin good!”
“The meat was super juicy and flavorful though I definitely preferred the chicken gyro more.”
“My only issue (but not a big one) is with the white sauce – it's a little watery, but super refreshing as well as I believe it also contains cucumber.”

This place is definitely one of the better places in the area for a kebab or gyro. However, they're the masters of bait and switch. I wanted to write a good review about this place but the reality is that they don't value your business.
There have been many times that I have placed an order only to have them tell me that one of the items are unavailable after the rest of the food is ready. Instead of them simply telling you that they don't have it they suck you in and give you a less desired item.
Avoid this place, refuse to pay and let them take a hit on your order.
Delicious Turkish food on Kings Highway! Difficult to find parking here but if you do, this place is worth a visit. Came on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy – you can either sit down on one of the many tables or head right over to the take out counter and pick up/place an order.
We decided to go the take out route. Got two family combos, chicken Adana, and a large shepherd salad. The total was pretty steep, around 70 dollars! However, the food was prepared pretty quickly – we didn't have to wait long at all!
The quality of the food was pretty good and everything was seasoned well. What I didn't like was that the portions were really SMALL! The family combos (around 23 dollars each) have a lot more rice than meat. The chicken Adana came with only one strip of kabab, which was disappointing. They are stingy with sauces too. I would rather go to Taci's or Sahara (although they can have long waits) if I'm in the area. Overall though, this place is good!
A said it was the best lamb he's ever had so this gets 4 stars in my book. The falafel sandwich is also really delicious but next time I would try the chicken kebab over the chicken gyro. We really enjoyed the juice too – mixed fruit flavored. 🙂
I love everything about this place! The bread with the eggplant spread is the best appetizer I have ever had. The shepard salad is also a really good appetizer. I usually always have the chicken kebob plate which comes with rice and a side of the shepard salad. The yogurt sauce and red sauce that comes with it goes great with this dish. If you love Turkish food, this is a must try place!
Decided to order takeout from here since I just started rotating at a site nearby and have no idea what food places are around there. My coworkers say it's a good option for lunch so I decided to give it a try. It was pretty good! I got the Grilled chicken over rice and I found the grilled chicken to be very juicy and flavorful. The rice was also soft and slightly moist, just the way I like my rice. It also comes with a white sauce and a red spicy sauce that tasted great when mixed with the rice and chicken. Portions are very reasonable and delivery was pretty quick. It's not too expensive but if you think about it, it's slightly overpriced since you can get chicken over rice at a halal cart for $6 while the one here was $10 (including tip for delivery). I would still consider this place a great lunch option if you're in the area though.
Ordered: Lamb and chicken gyro on pita
Pros–For $6 (plus tax and tip of course) you get a pretty great amount of meat.
Cons–There were seemingly 2 waiters for the whole place. It took too long for someone to come over and take our order and to come back and give a check. Also the bathroom was somewhat dirty and it had no toilet paper. This place seems better for take out purposes.
Menu isnt very clear on what is mixed with lamb (i can't eat lamb). had the sandwich that seemed to be a mix of lamb and chicken sausage. and then ordered chicken gyro plate and it was very good. also tried babaganoush and that was a perfect sweet ending. will def be going back.
Memo Shishkebob is one of those places that you pass by all the time, but never try. It doesn't look like much. They've even got a menu board posted outside below their window, which normally is a sign for either bad food or a tourist trap. Luckily, it was neither of those things.
It seems as though most people order takeout or delivery. My friend and I decided to dine in on a Wednesday at around 7 and there weren't many other diners.
I ordered the chicken and lamb Adana combo dinner, which comes with rice and their cucumber, tomato, and purple onion salad. The meat was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I normally shy away from lamb because of that gamey taste, but this didn't have that at all.
My friend ordered the chicken Adana and chicken shish kebab combo. I usually don't order kebabs because it has been dry for most of my past experiences. But I stole a bite from her and it was tender. Might have even been the best Mediterranean kebab experience I've had!
I wanted to get the lahmacun, which is a flat bread with ground lamb. But it comes in three pieces, which I can't finish, especially since my friend doesn't eat lamb – and they wouldn't let me order just one so I skipped it.
I'll deffo be back but I think next time I'll bring some lamb lovers so I can finally try that flat bread!
