I've driven past Vivaldi over a hundred times, but I never thought to eat there, until my wife suggested that we give it a try for our anniversary dinner. I'm glad we went here, because it was pretty nice (but a little expensive).
For appetizer, I had the baked clams, which I thought were excellent. Then for the entrée, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with Linguini. I thought it was very good, but not great. I would have liked it if the tomato sauce had a little bit more flavor to it. For dessert we shared a Chocolate Lava Cake and an pple tart dessert (sorry, I don't remember the exact name). I'm normally a big fan or chocolate lava cakes, but I did not like Vivaldi's. It was dry and there probably wasn't any liquid chocolate (lava) inside. But the apple tart was excellent. It came with a side of caramel sauce that complimented it perfectly.
Our server, Panagiot, was superb. He was very polite and friendly, and answered any questions that we had about their dishes. My wife had ordered the lamb chops, which were pretty large portion. She wanted to split it with me, but because I like mine cooked at a different temperature, he actually had the chef split the dish and cook it separately.
Overall, I thought Vivaldi's was pretty good. The atmosphere was also very nice. Over the last few years, this location has changed hands many times, and I hope Vivaldi is here to stay.
Made a resy for restaurant week. The menu was limited but pass – able. Started with the soup of the day, broccoli. And a house salad from RW menu. Also ordered appetizers for the table, citrus lobster salad (the grapefruit and avocado were very nice complimentary ingredients), char grilled octopus over chick peas, and the baked clams. BTW, if you check in with Yelp upon seating, you'll get a house limoncello for free. Didn't like the veal chop I ordered as my entrée. Should have known better to not order a "special". It was overcooked, dry, and "old" like freezer burned old. The braised short ribs were way better, especially the price! It was offered on the RW menu. Cannoli trio dessert and cheesecake were very good. Go for brunch instead. Better value and choices.
Attended a friends Bridal Party here!! It was amazing.
The place is amazing, everything is open space and nice set up. It's a fancy restaurant– They have great service, the staff was on point.
The food was Great!!! Loved the salad– the salmon was great and they had great pasta!
Amazing!
This place is the restaurant you see when driving on the throgs neck bridge to come back to queens that has lights on it.. It was one of those i always wondered what the place was and low and behold we found it!!!
Made a reservation tonight my
Fiance decided to try this place bc they offered 1000pt table at the time we wanted!
Ayja was our waitress really sweet attentive and made some great recommendations when i couldnt decide!
We started with the tuna tartar and grilled octopus. Both came out tasting fresh
I was torn between branzino and the special swordfish. Ayja made a great recommendation because i was happy with it. Swordfish was very meaty and the pineapple ontop was delicious!
When it came time for dessert i was torn again ans Ayja made another amazing recommendation. Loved the apple tart. It was crispy warm and fresh scoop and vanilla ice cream..
We sat outside in this really quite outdoors space for it being near the cross island… Covered with trees has a gazebo. The wait staff and bus service was really prompt and friendly. Cant wait to come back!
Came for a party in the upstairs room. Tall windows overlooking the golf course made for a great view, especially since it was a warm, sunny day! Waiters were attentive and fussing to make sure everything was taken care of. The arugula salad with tomato and mozzarella and the brioche french toast were both tasty.
Made a last minute reservation for dinner tonight at 7:30pm with my relatives and parents. I personally requested a round table for this special reunion occasion. My dad dropped my relatives and mom off first so that way I am the only one late for dinner. Our server Panos was very patient in waiting for me to translate 7 people's dishes before ordering mine.
Food: Linguine (my mom's), Sliced Skirt Steak (my dad's), Spaghetti & Meatballs (mine), Bone-in Ribeye two aunts shared), Fish of Day Special (my uncles and his wife shared), and Penne Special (another uncle)
The dishes are excellent every time I dine here!
One word. …Outstanding! This is our first time here and all I can say it's that the food is delicious, the service is Outstanding. We were treated like royalty. Everything is perfect!
Best Fine Italian Around! We have been to Vivaldi about 6 times. The food is delicious, the decor is very nice and the service is fantastic. We always go with our twin 4 y/o's and they are treated great. We are lucky that they are good mannered and can be in nice restaurants like Vivaldi.
Tuna tartar is fantastic. Caesar salad is very nice. The scallops and veal are delicious as are the desserts.
This is our go-to special occasion restaurant in our area.
