Abide Brooklyn Pita
“I wish their white sauce was a littler thicker (it's kinda watery), but Abide has become one of my go-to places for Mediterranean.”
“Rice Pudding: A
One of the best rice puddings I've ever had.”
“The pita bread is ok but the fresh vegetables and chicken gyro makes it divine.”

The worst "meal" I've had in a long time and frankly would like a refund. Trust the reviews. Don't eat here. "Most of the reviews are good." No, don't eat here.
Delivery took an hour.
The falafel was mealy and cold. Lumps of total crap. Inedible.
The hummus came without pita. What am I going to do with a tub of hummus?
The salad was in a pool of water.
I am making it my mission in life to prevent people from eating here and I may breakup with my boyfriend over it.
The cook, who I assume is also either the manager or owner, was very pleasant. Great fast and friendly service. They have a very large delivery circle. We live on Eastern Parkway by Franklin Ave and they deliver to us! This food is a hundred times better than Zaytoons!
Soups
=====
Red Lentil Soup: C
I'm really scratching my head on this. Everything we've had up until now has been a home-run. The soup is not spiced well; it's very bland, and what little taste it has is not vibrant or notable.
Cold Appetizer
===========
Mix Appetizer: A
Spectacular. We got hummus, baba ganoush, raita, tabouleh, spinach (the type of spinach you use to fill spinakopitas), and a type of ratatouille. They give you some really awesome bread very lightly spiced with za'atar.

Falafel with Humus: B
Humus is very good. Falafels were a nice size – not too big, not too small, and PERFECTLY fried: the outside was very crispy and tasty. Unfortunately, the inside of the falafel was bland. They could definitely use more garlic, cumin, pepper, and onion. They were still good…just not as flavorful and I would've liked.
Chicken Plates
===========
Chicken Wings: A
Very nicely char broiled. Good amount of meat. Fresh.
Chicken Shish Kebab: B
Very good flavor but overdone and slightly dry.
Lamb & Beef Plates
==============
Lamb Adana Kebab: A
Charbroiled perfectly, with a dynamic lamb flavor. Spiced to perfection. Highly recommended.
Kofte Kebob: A / B+
I paid twice as much for kofte at Al Mayas in the city for kofte which wasn't as good. This kofte was perfect. Charbroiled perfectly (and I DO mean perfectly!) with a real fresh beefy flavor.
NOTE: We ordered it a second time and while it was heavenly delicious with very robust charbroiled meaty flavor, it was overdone and dry, hence the B+.
Diced Lamb Shish Kebab Plate: B+
Perfect deep charbroiled lamb flavor, but slightly overdone.
Dessert
======
Baklava: A+
An insane amount of honey. Very crispy. One of the best baklava I've ever had.
Rice Pudding: A
One of the best rice puddings I've ever had.
Beverages
========
Ayran: A
It's commercially bottled, but hey, that's fine. It's delicious. For those who don't know, Ayran is a semi salty (non-sweet) yogurt drink. It's also called "Tan" in some parts of the middle east. This was very slightly salty and very smooth. It's just yogurt, water, and salt (no mint, no garlic, etc)
Fresh veggies in their falafel platter! White sauce is minty and thin. Hummus is tasty and creamy. Great open space for people watching and getting a quick late night meal without feeling fat.
My friends and I were hunting around for later night food. Oddly, Park Slope doesn't have much open after 10PM. We had some chicken shawarma wraps and a falafel platter. Everyone was super happy with their food. The chicken shawarma was super fresh, and the wraps were pretty filling. The service was fairly fast as well. I had considered strongly the chicken adana wrap but went with the shawarma, as it was more readily available. Maybe I'll get a chance to come back and try it again some time.
I was amped when I saw the meat on spits, and the menu. I had a chicken shwarma in pita (one of three bread choices). The sandwich was disappointing. The toppings are chopped too big so every bite is a logistical challenge. The sauce is on top so the first few bites are just raw cabbage and sauce, then when you get to the bottom it's dry chicken. I was so hungry I didn't ask for more sauce, though I probably could have since I was eating there. I won't go back.
Abide is a disappointment, every single time.
They offer late night deliver service in my area, I have ordered from them in the past and at one point they were ok but the last few times I have ordered from them the food has been very disappointing.
They offer classic Mediterranean eats like gyro and cold salads like humus, unfortunately everything is always cold and flavorless.
Their delivery service is convenient because they deliver past midnight, I just wish the food was good.
I ordered a chicken gyro last night, the gyro is full of lettuce and tomato and just a little chicken, their chicken is made with fatty dark meat and taste undercooked. Their cold salads such as humus is flavorless no garlic or tahini flavor, nothing!
I do not recommend.
Delivery was slow. It took an hour for the food to arrive and when we called, we were mislead with the timing that ended up taking another 45 minutes to arrive. No order confirmation e-mail, whatsoever. In all of my Seamless experiences, I've always received an e-mail of acknowledgment.
Ordered the Chicken Shish Kebab plate and while the jasmine rice and chicken kebabs were delicious, it was filled with salad on the bottom. In fact, every one of our plates had a lot of salad in them. I was more disappointed by how few pieces of chicken there were. I was looking forward to the Zucchini Pancake, but it was deep fried to the point where it tasted dry; vegan, but not so health-friendly. The garlic yogurt it comes with doesn't taste like garlic and is rather very watery–it won't do much for your food but make it moist. I guess you can use it as a salad dressing, but don't expect a flavorful one. The pita bread was cold, which was unappetizing.
To their credit, the food was fresh and hot upon arrival, but we were starving at that point. Prices aren't so bad, but I don't think I'll order from them again.
If you are in the mood for some hot spinning meats check this place out. Very little seating inside but it's a great place to pop in for a quick delish bite.
I got the chicken schwarma on pita which was under $7. I like a good portion and this did not disappoint. They got a repeat customer for sure.
