Today I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, $8.99 + tax. The taste is so bland and savorless. Although the place is in the food court, I don't expect the taste is unappetizing. The kimchi (pickle radish) that came with it, taste the same thing. Short to the point; Not recommended
This place is actually one of the more popular options in H-Mart's food court. There's pre-made sushi below the shelf with drinks. Their menu has bento-style meals, ramen, udon, a la carte sushi and sashimi, and various special rolls. I can only comment on the Salmon bento ($11.99) and the Miso Ramen ($9.99).
The Miso Ramen is actually average in taste, mainly because the miso is very light. I won't say bland, but it's no where as flavorful as Santouka's. Their portions are pretty big, with a good amount of noodles and maybe three slices of pork belly. Like the bento, the ramen comes with a side of kimchi. If only they used more miso, I would've enjoyed this a little more.
Their salmon bento was pretty good. The salmon itself was cooked just right and had a sweet glaze on it; it was separate and not on top of the rice, which I appreciated. My bento also came with four slices of California roll, tempura, a side of miso soup, and a side salad. If you're not fond of salmon, there are beef, chicken, shrimp, sushi, and sashimi boxes as well. There's katsudon, unagidon, and other rice dishes if you want something different.
