Brought family here for a nice night out and much to my surprise is was a horrible experience.
Service wasn't friendly.
Clams we ordered weren't cooked thoroughly.
Pasta and sauce tasted like it came from a jar.
To top it off- I lost a bracelet here and the staff wasn't even helpful in assisting me to look for it.
Never again.
I thought i was being a "homer" But this place is really that good.
The atmosphere is very close and the staff really work together as a team.
One evening recently I had the most amazing scallop dinner, that was cooked PERFECTLY, and drizzled with a light vinegar that made the presentation and taste really special.
Any of their pasta dishes here are good, but go for the gnocchi .
I came to Tuscany Grill with the family and I'm torn whether this place deserves a 3 or 4 star review. The place looks decent with a small bar and small intimate tables. We were seated at a roun table but the table was wobbly. Hmm. Talk about "rustic". The waitress came over to give us a list of the specials for the day and gave a few minutes to look over the menu. We started with the mussels appetizer in white sauce. The mussels themselves were small and not meaty, but the sauce was spot on. We ended up using the bread in the bread basket and soaked up all the sauce. Yum. I couldn't decide between the branzino special or the pappardelle. Turns out, it was an easy decision since they were out pappardelle. So our decided to get the branzino special, the short rub special, and the spinach fettuccine with seafood. My branzino was ok. The breading actually didn't stick on the fish. The mash potato was bland but the green beans were grilled and seasoned perfectly. The short rib had an olive tapenade on it and it was spicy. The meat was rather tough. Not exactly something we would order. The best dish by far was the spinach fettuccine. The pasta was cooked perfectly and it had a good amount of seafood. We even concluded at the end of the meal that we should have all ordered the pasta dish instead.
I can see Tuscany Grill being a good place for a casual date place as the atmosphere is pretty nice. This place is worth another try.
