  1. Came for the $1 oyster happy hour which is a great deal.To take advantage of happy hour specials you have to ask the hostess to seat you in the bar area which has no ambiance. The other happy hour deals; half off bar apps, $7 glasses of wine, are also good. We ordered an app off the regular menu as well and they were able to accommodate a gluten allergy. The food was good, the service was okay. The waitress who I think was also the bartender did her best but seemed to be stretched too thin. We waited awhile before she came to take our food order.

  2. I just looked at my review and noticed it shows my pic of sliders but I said I didn't try the food. Lol. Well, I didn't the day I wrote that review but I came back another time. They have a good happy hour menu…mostly seafood which I don't eat, so I tried the sliders! Pretty good! I just wish this place would do an unlimited mimosa brunch and I'd be there every weekend!

  3. For starters, I do not want this review to be based on the food, as I did not eat there. However, the fact that I wanted to leave just 5 mins after entering says a lot.

My firefighter and I sat at the bar on Saturday afternoon, and with two bartenders already there, it took over 5 mins for either one of them to even ask us how we were doing or if we liked something to drink!

Upon finally serving, I was pretty aggravated but decided to stay. We ordered a couple drinks and some waters. The bartender decided that it was a good idea to give me a foot-in-a-half long straw for my standard sized glass of water!

I have to go behind the bar and show you which straw to use?! Come on now ….

  4. If you have a date, especially one who likes seafood, I urge you to take him/her here.  The view is extremely nice, this place has cloth napkins & I had the house chop (a salad with avocado, chicken, bacon, roasted corn, red pepper and a great dressing).  A unique combination that you wouldn't think would go together but it was awesome.  I'm sure the other food is even better.  Aside from personal badness that left a bad taste in my mouth, the food and ambiance was terrific & I'd certainly want to come back.

  5. This places has a great view and I was hoping to really like it. I can't complain about the food but the service was not on point. In came here a couple times when I was living in the area and I got the filet twice. Both times i enjoyed it. I think if the staff and the decor was updated this place could get more stars.

  6. I guess it's my time to join hate parade. I feel like I need to stretch first…

I honestly wonder how this place continues to stay in business. I've had the misfortune of dining here a couple of times and while the views of Manhattan are spectacular, everything else is atrocious. The food is ridiculously overpriced and god-awful. The chefs found a way to serve food that's simultaneously under-cooked and burnt. On top of that, the staff is often rude or no where to be found.

I live in the neighborhood and for such a fantastic location, few people ever eat here. I'm sure those that do are either first (and only) timers or redeeming some coupon they bought off Amazon local deals. Please save your time, energy, money, and palette and steer clear of Riverview Restaurant all together. This place is the worst.

  7. Stopped by here for some grubbin' after a night out and I've got to say…

The service was a little off.

Maybe they had a long day, maybe they were exhausted, but the man who served my table was very… cranky.

BUT, the lobster ravioli here is awesome.

    So are the burgers.

  8. We didn't order much. Had the river view  burger which was good. And lobster ravioli which was very good. I love the cream sauce! The complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil is very good. Pricey though , I guess for the location
