All you can eat sushi on a boat for $20 (per person).
Why the hell not?!
There are not many options for sushi in Marine Park so I'm glad that our only option is a good option.
If you order off of the all you can eat menu, you better be able to eat it all or you're going to have to pay for wasted food (which I love).
The waitresses are really patient.
My ex boyfriend would always ask 5 million questions even though we were regulars here & they would answer every single one.
I wanted to like this place, I really really did. I read all the reviews and was so excited to go and give it a shot now that it was under different management and name. But, unfortunately, nothing has really changed.
I walked in with "5 stars!" in my head. We walked in and asked for a private booth, the woman said OK and started walking us to the back. As we arrived at a table in the middle of the restaurant she tells us "Oh the private booths we save in case a large group comes in." Um, the restaurant is almost completely empty, but ok fine. (Down to 4 stars).
We are then seated and asked if we wanted to go off the regular menu or the all-you-can-eat. When we said the AYCE menu, she seemed to get flustered and then begins to explain how it works. We then found out that there is a certain section for people who are doing the AYCE, and that's not where we were sitting. So after ordering our drinks and being settled we then had to change tables. (Down to 3 stars).
Reading the AYCE menu, there is a good amount of things you can order but unfortunately it seemed like most of it was all spicy things. Now, I'm not against spicy, but I would like a bit of variety. As for the appetizers, obviously they're not going to give you options of full size portions of appetizers, I'm OK with that. So we started with the gyoza and the shumai. I loved the shumai, the gyoza not so much. For our entree the first time around we got the Fantastic roll, the Rainbow roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll, the second go around we got the Temptation roll and the Sakura roll. Honestly, every single one of them tasted the same. There was nothing that stood out on any of them that really made me go "Oooo that's great!" (Down to 2 1/2 stars).
By the time all was said and done with our bill, it came to $71. ($20.95 x 2, plus 4 large Sapporos and tax). I've had a way better meal at Ginza (see my prior review for that!) with a larger option of food. AYCE here is definitely not worth it. Unfortunately I can't give 2 1/2 stars so I was generous and gave 3 ONLY because our waitress was very friendly and the food was out very quick. Sorry E Sushi, but you won't be seeing us again.
like another reviewer, i really wanted to like the place. its tough to find decent AYCE sushi/sashimi in brooklyn that is tasty and good service so i always end up in queens. we came in on a friday evening about 7pm and there was plenty of seating. they took us to the back and didn't really explain much of how it works, but we're seasoned AYCE sushi eaters so we already knew what to do. the wait here is INSANELY slow. the first round of salmon sashimi was definitely not fresh. the second round was a bit more fresh but it wasn't up to par with the other AYCE places i've been to. the apps were underwhelming and nothing special either. good try but seriously they need to figure out the wait time because we were there from 7-9pm. normally we're full and about to explode from being full in less than an hour at the other AYCE places. if you know your sushi go elsewhere. if you're a sushi beginner, then you probably wouldn't notice anything. needless to say, i'm glad i tried this neighborhood place but definitely not coming back.
E Sushi is a welcome change from the previous management. All-You-Can-Eat is relaxing. You know you're spending $20/person so now you can order to your satisfaction without mentally totaling up the bill. My group liked the fish a lot, said it was very fresh and the spicy things were great. There are a few vegetarian options. What the menu doesn't list (e.g. Avocado Asparagus Cucumber Roll) you can write it in and they'll make it, no extra charge. I'm sure carnivores won't want to hear this, but I was thrilled to find out that the crab is imitation–a soy protein product–so that makes the California Roll vegan! The miso soup, other hot items and salads are all good, unlike other AYCE sushi places where they cut corners on those things. Desserts are included! The service is attentive and very friendly, however the kitchen is s-l-o-w. The wait for our second round of sushi was at least 30 minutes. So I recommend going there when you aren't pressed for time and ordering your seconds early while you're eating your firsts. The environment is very clean, roomy and pleasant, though I find the dark pink-orange wall color a little oppressive. The rest rooms are immaculate.
Hidden gem, right in my neighborhood!!!
Didn't know they even exist, I drove by and spotted this awesome sushi place. Glad I saw it cause this place is beautiful with a ton of seating, ambiance is gorgeous.
Prices are cheap and staff is pleasant
The food is okay but the service is not. My boyfriend and I came in at around 9 and we decided to do AYCE ($20). Since they close at 10, they told us 9:55 would be last call to order anything, which was fine. But none of the wait staff seemed to like the fact that we still opted for AYCE at that hour. They actually seemed kind of pissed anytime we asked for something. I know you want to get off work but it wasn't even closing time yet!
Even so, I would give E Sushi a second chance – only because they have sashimi and there aren't AYCE places in Brooklyn that I know of that includes it. They also have a lot of non-raw options. The kani salad was not good. There were barely any cucumbers or crab meat, but mostly just tempura flakes, which I didn't even know was going to be in the dish. The BBQ squid was way too chewy. The one roll we ordered was falling apart a bit but I think it was because everyone working there was just rushing to go home. I might try their hot food next time too but I think your safest bet is the sushi and sashimi.
Found this place on yelp when I was looking for AYCE sushi buffet. Parking was easy to find on a saturday night. The wait for seats wasn't too long. The decor was a little weird. The color of the walls i feel didn't really match while the ceiling was nice.
Once we got seated there were 2 pieces of paper to choose your food. One was for the appetizers and kitchen items while the other was for their sashimi and sushi rolls. We ordered some of the kitchen items like spicy crab salad, calamari, and chicken teriyaki. The calamari wasn't too great. Chicken teriyaki was ok. My spicy crab salad never came and by time i realize it i didn't want it anymore so i didn't mention it. We ordered a couple of rolls and surprisingly it was neatly made and tasted above average for an AYCE sushi buffet. On top if that, the rolls were served on a boat plate which made the dining experience more interesting. The most memorable roll was the dragon roll. Even though it is a basic roll, it tasted really fresh and we opted to order more of it in our next few rounds of food.
Overall, this is a good AYCE sushi buffet. The rolls were better than average. Probably can skip most of the kitchen items. Service was friendly. Will give this place a visit again if in the area.
This is the only all-you-can-eat sushi place I've been to that serves sushi on a boat! Usually the boat means it's gonna be expensive but it's not bad at all! For a little over $20, you have unlimited sushi, sashimi, and appetizers (from seaweed salad to chicken tempura). You can also order as much ice cream as you want!
The place is really clean and the staff are all very nice and attentive. I've enjoyed my experience here and I will definitely visit more in the future! The only con is that it can be hard to find parking.
