  1. As an event space this is quite magical. Although I've never been for sleep no more I was in the Hotel and Gallow Green for a private event this past weekend. The space has ample spaces for smaller themed areas, a large main ballroom, a corridor at the moment decked out at a train car, and spacious hallways with areas to set up tickets or tables with cards, etc.

In the main ballroom, an amazing jazz band was playing classic hits and wowing all of us in the scattered leather circular booths, at one of the two bars or on the dance floor. Since this was a spirit heavy event two bars were set up on this floor, with the long wooden bar on the one side packed with spirits and glassware.

Upstairs was the garden wonderland of Gallow Green. Arches with vines and twinkling lights boxed off sections with another train car area, a shoeshine station at the moment and a balcony wrapping around two thirds of the space and providing great views. Room upstairs for several smaller areas to be cordoned off or opened up to one larger space. Great sound system and ambiance keeping the vibe that the hosts were going for.

The staff was incredible, from costumes to service. The event space was kept as a magical wonderland from start to finish. Truly impressed with the space and would recommend.

  2. Simply amazing, one-of-a-kind place. The home of Sleep No More, The Gallow Green rooftop bar, and the Heath, all glorious in their own respects.

Sleep No More is a superb film-noir inspired interactive theater experience based on the Shakespeare's Macbeth that lets you explore through several floors of scenes and curiosities, through actors and meticulously curated spaces. Anytime you can access the Gallow Green and the Heath for before or after drinks/food/atmosphere.

Gallow Green is a rooftop decorated with greenery wrapped around old railway structures and overhanging arches. They have specialized cocktails, time period dressed bartenders, and large lofty benches and seating areas for you some bites and one of their unique drinks (one of them is even called 'Sleep No More').

The Heath is a smoky restaurant with hazy vintage lights and live jazz turned rouge at night with featured bands, usually the the Heathen, with mixed rock, jazz, swing and some sort of magical combination of every good aspect of music.

They all intertwine and are truly a gem in New York, I've gone here several times for seeing Sleep No More, grabbing a drink at Gallow Green, seeing a secret showing of Flight of the Concords, and dancing at the Heath late at night. Highly recommend!

  3. The McKittrick Hotel is AWESOME-

ATMOSPHERE: About 6 floors of fun! Home of Gallow Green Rooftop and Sleep No More, the McKittrick is a must see if you're in the city and want to see something out of the ordinary. For Sleep No More, it was decorated so considerately, was really well thought out. Every room had personality.

Would strongly reco visiting, but it gets packed on weekends!
