The portions are smaller than usual and the prices remain the same as they would cost somewhere else for the same plate with bigger portions.
BUT – the quality of the food is EXCELLENT. Tastes delicious, fresh and satisfying. Besides the portion part – which surprisingly was filling, I have no complaints!

This place is a true neighborhood gem serving typical homey Columbian food with great taste and even better value. It's easy to just pass by, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you did!
Upon walking in, you will notice that the seating area has simple tables and chairs and the lighting isn't great. The ordering counter is towards the back.
While the decor is okay, I would guess most people simply pick-up food since it doesn't seem to be a dining destination type of decor.
The food is the catch though, thus far I've had their empanadas (the chicken one is great), as well as their breaded chicken combo and their carne asada combo. The combo dishes come with a nice salad, rice, homemade beans, and the main dish.
The portions are HUGE, which makes this place such a great value. The food is very tasty, fresh, and all homemade. Most dishes are around $10 or so…
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is because they never seem to deliver…
If you're thinking about trying this place, and want something different, give it a try, I promise you'll like it!
Going in, you'll probably be the only non-Hispanic person if you aren't already Hispanic. Don't worry though, English is fine.
They seem to have a good lunch deal at $7 for plates, but I missed that. For $14, I got a big plate of rice, beans and sauce, tongue, a couple plantains, and small side salad and also an Avena. The plantains were hot, the lengua was very tender, and the thick hot sauce was perfect for all that
Avena is a creamy Colombian oatmeal based drink with some milk, cinnamon, and spices. For those who have had horchata, you'll have had something similar. It's extremely thick and delicious. Perfect for spicy food.
Pretty cheap, but I would come for mostly the lunch deal.
I haven't been to this place yet. I hear it has very dim lighting inside.
I'm reviewing based on their empanadas and their house green sauce. It's on point. Their empanadas are $1.25. Good yellow crust, and every bite has something. Their green sauce is what gets me the most. It's not just some green slush that's good, you can see bits of cilantro and jalapeño inside. It has ridiculous heat and the cilantro is a very good touch.
I'll have to update this review once I go myself.
