“The other food there (Humus, babaganush, tabbouleh, israeli salad, kabobs, knish, grape leaves, etc) looks really really good, and one day I will order it once I get off of my shawarma kick.”

  1. Stumbled on to this place looking for something different. NY never disappoints. Pita Express specializes in Mediterranean food and you can get a variety of different things. I was able to find a seat during the lunch rush wish was a surprise.

I ordered the Lamb Shish on the pita and was really good. It was stuffed was lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and Lamb. Very tasty and pleasant on your taste buds.

The staff was nice and helpful and welcomed me back. The food was a bit pricey, so stick to the basics.

  2. Excellent falafel and it is kosher (depending on which rabbi you follow) their chopped salad is really good and so fresh. They deliver too; baked items are average such as borekas. Service is fine and very clean bathroom which being in heart of NYC you have to note.

  3. I had the chicken soup with a matzo ball, and falafel with hummus and pita. The soup is a little salty, but delicious nonetheless. The falafel, hummus, pita, and pickles are very good, as is their hot sauce.

This place is very popular and was pretty crowded when I was there, but since people were on their lunch breaks the tables cleared up quickly.
