  1. Great food, great selection of drinks, cozy and highly recommended.
Get to be a bit crowded so you need to be lucky to get the table.
    Great pizza, great deserts.
    Lovely waitress.

  2. Came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon.

Quiet and cozy. Lots of light. Cute decor.

    Super friendly service.

    Good beer selection.

And last but certainly not least – delicious chicken panini.

    Definitely recommended!

  3. When I'm in the area, I come here. It's quiet and cozy and I just come here for drinks.
They have a nice selection of beers here and I like everything I get.
The bartender is always nice here too.

  4. I loved this restaurant.  It is beautifully restored.  My friend and I went before a show at the Bell House.  They have a great selection of interesting wines.  the staff was helpful with our selections.  The food was tasty and fresh.  The dishes were very different as well.

  5. Delicious dinner! Great atmosphere and service. My boyfriend and I shared several appetizers and a tagliata di manzo, which was incredibly good. House red wine was impressive too. Because it's a little bit far from the "park slope food mass" it has my respect and appreciation! I would definitely go back to try their lunch and brunch.

  6. I'm a pretty big fan of this place. I stop by every couple of months for brunch or dinner and I've always been really happy with service and the quality and quantity of the food.

Most often when I come here I order one of two things. I've gotten the burger and the Tano salad with steak.

The burger is always cooked to the desired temperature, is moist and very flavorful. You can either choose a side salad or homemade potato chips. Both re good choices.

The tano salad is soooo yummy. No matter how much you say you love salads, you don't actually love salads. But this salad comes really close. It's a large portion of arugula mixed with walnuts, blue cheese, pears and a deliciously slightly sweet balsamic reduction. Now the crazy thing is that I don't like arugula. I don't like balsamic dressing and the thought of eating blue cheese makes me think about licking chunks of mold. I honestly have no idea why I ever even ordered this thing in the first place, but I'm so glad I did because it is wonderful. Something about the combination of all these ingredients makes for a seriously lovely salad.

Another great thing about this place is desserts. I've tried most of them and they're all so deliciously rich. Come on over to Bar Tano. You'll be happy you did.

  7. I was here for a drink after a music festival this past weekend, and have to say that the service here was among the worst I've ever experienced. The moment that one member of my group decided she didn't want a second drink, the bartender aggressively said he'd get the check for our entire group — he didn't even (a) bother to ask if the rest of the group wanted a second round, or (b) consider that we might want to sit and chat for a few more minutes.

Had it been a particularly busy night where people were waiting behind us for seating, that would be understandable; however, that wasn't the case. We were three of fewer than 10 people in the entire place! It seemed to me that the bartender just wanted to get us out of there, which seems pretty rude and inappropriate given the circumstances.

Another note, for those considering visiting in the summer: there's no AC here. I, at least, was sticking to my seat, as it was humid and very warm in here. I don't care to imagine what this place is like during the day.

The drinks themselves were decent, but as far as I'm concerned, bad service trumps decent beverages any day.

  8. Came in on a Monday night for dinner with a friend.  Tried three of the bruschettas which were all amazing and we split two pasta dishes.  Great selection of wine.  I would definitely come back!
