“I have had many functions here from happy hours to private dinner parties in their private room.”

“The food isn't super spectacular, but it's filling and was satisfying for me, but then again I'm not a super picky brunch person.”

“Sometimes, if enough people are doing mimosas, they'll put a mimosa pitcher on the table so that you can take care of your own boozy needs.”

  1. 3.5 stars

This place is busy busy busy on Sundays! The food and drinks are good but they are overpriced.

I had a great time coming here Sunday morning enjoying the $32.95 bottomless brunch. You get any dish with egg in it and two hours of unlimited mimosas, wine, or frozen margaritas. I had the scrambled eggs with poblanos, tomatoes and ham. It was delicious.

The overall environment is very preppy, especially on a Sunday morning for brunch. Seems to be very college preppy kid oriented lol. Nonetheless, it is a fun atmosphere will decent food. Just overpriced in my opinion.

I would come here again just to treat myself if I felt like splurging a little. But otherwise, take it as you may.

  2. Came here for dinner but will definitely be back to try their bottomless brunch.

We came at 8pm on Saturday, and while it was definitely lively, about half the tables were empty. We sat outside. It looks like reservations are only really a necessity here for brunch.

Margaritas were pricey but strong. I got the spicy jalapeño and my friend got the original, and they tasted pretty much the same. Good, but the same.

The Guac was on the small side, but it came with fresh tomatoes and green salsa, and the bowl was made out of a thick tortilla…GENIUS! I split the squash tacos and goat cheese spinach empanadas. The chicken tinga and chicken tacos were hits as well.

    Will definitely be back.

  3. Have only come here for the HH frozen margaritas! Refreshing on a hot day. Didn't taste strong but it sure was. Two got me at a nice buzz last Friday night. Bar area got packed later in the evening so I'd suggest coming right after work for HH.

Food cooking smelled amazing! Maybe try the HH tacos & empanadas (looked smaller but I think they're only $2??)

  4. It's been a while since my initial review because of its location I don't make it here very often.
I stopped by recently for Dinner , should have done happy hour first but since the bar area was crowded we decide to sit instead.
Came in no problems being seated once seated we started with some cocktails tried the Blood orange margarita , not bad good amount of alcohol a bit on the bitter side taste wise but pretty good overall.
Appetizers Guacamole & chips always a good idea  great guacamole , good chips really liked the mini taco bowl the Guac is on.
Calamari is very tasty , good chipotle aioli dipping sauce with a bit of a kick to it not bad.
I had the Enchillas de pollo for dinner , had all the fixings on the side glad I did since I wasn't too crazy about the sauce , good Enchillas wrapped in a purple tortilla pretty interesting taste wise same as regular flour tortillas , good tasting chicken good with the guacamole , sour cream & salad.
My company had the Steak fajitas , very good steak was cooked well good taste also comes with tortillas & all the fixings.
Service was good our waitress was nice & attentive , price wise don't recall it being kinda pricey ? Although it has been a while.
    Overall we enjoyed our meal.

  5. Holy strong margaritas!

My friend and I came here a couple weekends ago and we loved it. Got the calamari (which was PERFECT).

We both bot frozen margs. They were really good and really strong. And unlimited. It was great.

We both got the breakfast burrito which was good, nothing spectacular, though.

After tip and appetizer, etc. the bill was $48 each.

It's a nice treat if you want a crazy popular boozy brunch.

Make sure to make your reservations a couple months in advance.

  6. Service is a shocker  and happy hour is a con.
You can  only order happy hours drinks at the bar  , well we know why no one eats before 8pm  as we sit with tumbleweed blowing past us in a deserted dining area while  the bar is packed.

I  flag  down 2 staff but unfortunately  none are qualified  to be servers but they send  out word by carrier pigeon  we would like a drink.

Finally we are asked what we want to start with but do yourself  a favor and order your entire  meal right now cos you aint seeing her again for a few hours.

All in all food Is ok but service blows and is about as friendly  as pitbull  with a stick  up its bum.

    West village fail.

  7. 5 stars for their happy hour and bartenders! Agave gets really crowded during their happy hour and that's very understandable. A bonus is that their happy hour extends into the weekend as well. I came with my friend on a Saturday, and since we're both small, we managed to squeeze and share a single barstool (they're pretty big). You have to be by the bar for happy hour and since all the other seats were taken, many people were just standing around near the bar.

The $6 frozen margaritas are perfect for a hot summer day. My find got a plain one and I got the mango one. Honestly, the mango flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked, so I wouldn't pay the extra $1 for it again. The bartender was super friendly and gave us each a complimentary shot of the prickly pear margarita! The flavor of the prickly pear was unique and much better than I would have expected. The margarita was a beautiful, brilliant magenta and I would order that flavor next time. I'll also have to give their food a try.

  8. I like Agave for brunch and happy hour.

Came for happy hour both Saturday AND Sunday (lol) of this past weekend for $6-7 margaritas and $2 tacos/empanadas. I don't know a ton of places that offer a good weekend happy hour like Agave does. Drinks were strong, food was good. I loved the blood orange margarita. Obviously, not the best tacos/empanadas but probably the best $2 tacos/empanadas. Happy hour is 4-7 everyday except the food happy hour on weekends is 5-7. Not bad.

Sunday brunch gets WILD here and reservations (especially for groups) need to be made well in advanced. Regardless, it's great for the bottomless margaritas/mimosas/sangria. The brunch entrees are okay, but the margaritas are GREAT. The guac is great as well.

Brunch is advertised as $32.99/person for bottomless 2 hours with an entree but if your group is large (we were 20-30 or something people) it's $45 per person before tax/tip. Just something to be aware of.

I haven't been here for regular lunch or dinner but the outdoor seating looks appealing. I love the ambiance in general. I will surely be back for happy hour/brunch. Try it.
