  1. I came here in October, it was the hottest, most beautiful day for dining here.  We were seated outside seating under these wooden posts, that had branches or "vines" growing up it.  It was a really different atmosphere.  I would say it's very hipster-ish and casual.  The workers were great and friendly.  It's a great spot for a date!  I wish I could tell you how the prices were, but I didn't pay for it.  I would come here again, the food was good.  I remember there wasn't a big selection, though.  I just loved the feel of being outside, like you're in a big garden or yard just having a picnic.  It was neat!

  2. I suggested grabbing dinner at Forrest Point with my brother and his girlfriend after one of his theater productions. Cozy little hipster spot specializing in small plates and drinks. Great atmosphere, with lots of industrial décor and interesting artwork on the walls. We were seated right away despite it being quite busy, and service was quick throughout. I have but one warning: portion sizes are tiny, so keep that in mind when ordering. Their waffle fries, jalapeno mac 'n cheese, porchetta sandwich, and seared tuna w duck fried rice were all tasty – but a bit pricey, considering how much you get. We tried all three of their desserts, as well, which easily outshined all of the savory dishes we already had. Would I come back? Probably not, as I live in Queens. But I can see the appeal of regular visits if I were a local.

  3. I'm kind of disappointed with my experience at Forrest Point… The ambiance was amazing, there's an outdoor seating area with a large pergola, large Christmas lights, and trees. It's actually beautiful.

That being said, this review is about the food. The food was just meh. I ordered the chips and guacamole, it was so bland. Literally NO FLAVOR, just smashed avocados with chips. The Tuna Tartare Tacos were also extremely lackluster. The sad thing is that they were so beautiful when they arrived at the table! I was so excited to dig in, then so disappointed.

I also had the Spicy Watermelon Margarita which was pretty good.

Overall I'd rate the food 2, and the ambiance 4.

  4. Such a beautiful place.  I loved the rustic outdoor patio with the greens surrounding the seats.  I rarely ever go to bushwick but I would definitely recommend this place.  Very inviting and the outdoors space is ideal for a group.  My friend and I had the Mediterranean breakfast which was pretty good… Considering I was on a diet and did not want any carbs.  The hummus that came with it kinda tasted more like babaganosh but that's totally fine.  The water was a little too warm for my taste.  On one of the hottest day of the summer…. I was dying sipping on luke warm water….

The waitress was nice but did not know what "harissa" was.. That was on the menu but that was fine.  She was nice enough.  Great hang out spot, definitely coming back.

  5. A friend of mine suggested this spot for dinner. I was so surprised there was such a cute spot hidden in Bushwick. They have outdoor seatings with plants all around and lights. Super cute and nice especially on a cool day.

Indoors, they have a full on bar with coffee table seatings and some dining tables. I enjoyed the music playlist, they had a variety of drinks from beers, cocktails, wine, to choose from. Bathrooms are behind the stairs. Filled w graffiti but clean.

We ordered several items off the menu and here are some that stood out– tuna tartare tacos (its raw tuna like sushi/sashimi, order if u can eat raw. Served w avocado!! Yum!) we ordered this dish twice cos we really enjoyed it. Tuna w Duck confit fried rice– this dish was super flavorful! It was so tasty! Tuna is seared (so not completely raw but still raw in the middle). Waffle fries–crispy!!!

The dishes that we ordered that didnt really stand out for us is the jalepeno mac and cheese, steak tacos (we enjoyed the tuna more for some reason.. The steak was just alright).

But overall service was on point, our waitress was Jasmine (hope i spelled her name correctly!) and she was friendly, sweet and made our night! Would definitely come back here again!

  6. Absolutely loved this place.

I'm in town visiting a friend and we wanted a quick dinner. We stopped in here, sat on the patio (although it's November in New York) which was equipped with heating lamps and enjoyed us a nice dinner.

Our waitress (which I regret getting her name) was amazing and hilarious. She wore a green kimono jacket which at one point came up as a point of conversation. I apologize for laughing at you stubbing your toe, ye awesome waitress!

We each ordered one of the "special burgers". They aren't listed on the menu but they had 5 we could pick from. I chose the Jefferson – equipped with waffle fries and fresh ass jalapeños. Delicious!

We also indulged in their delicious waffle fries.

The menu was extensive – although small. Items such as a crunchy quinoa salad all the way to chicken pot pie. Everyone could enjoy something here.

  7. Forrest Point is a great place to come with a few friends, enjoy some drinks and relax.

I keep stopping in at Forrest Point. I'de like to say it's all about the food but they are a nice belike ride from my house and they are close to one of my favorite bike shops.

Another bike related reason is that they have a long iron fence which is perfect for parking your bike.

They have a pretty good beer selection and the seating outdoors has a variety of styles which makes things interesting.

So far I've been here 3 times and each time I've enjoyed my food so I guess it's safe to give them a 5 star.
