  1. Awesome Turkish restaurant tucked away and somewhat hidden. Like some other reviewers mentioned, I really like walking through the kitchen to get to the main dining area— the chefs are incredibly friendly and you can take a peek at all the delicious cuisine!

This place is indeed BYOB with no corkage fee, which made the high price of the entrees much easier to deal with and appreciate. We ordered the Bronzino and Chicken Kebabs. Both were amazing and well seasoned. The bread that they served was also SO good: spongy, airy and delicious!

Definitely recommend. Atmosphere isn't anything to write home about, but it's still cute, clean and nicely arranged with white linen table cloths.

  2. Two words: chicken kebab. Moist, succulent pieces of chicken with one problem – I wanted more. I had it with lamb chops and rice. All was good, chicken was the highlight. I would have liked more food for the amount paid, but thinking of trying the lunch special in an attempt to get more bang for my buck. At dinner time the restaurant was empty around six, by seven there were a few more couples. Perfect date night place, Byob.

  3. Woohoo.  Stumbled across this place by being lost in the middle of nowhere. I'm not a big fan of Turkish food, but when you are Hungry it doesn't matter much.
The entrance to this place is pretty interesting. We can in from the back and it pretty much takes you through the kitchen….That's confidence to let your customers see the kitchen, while food is being cooked. So that was good sign in my book. We get in their, and are greeted by a waiter who promptly seats us. Now I did even bother to look at the menu, the first 5 minutes I was impressed with the decor all around. It was simple yet elegant, and carefully picked. Didn't feel like I was in a generic restaurant, it felt truly like I was in Turkey(I will put that to the test this November :)).

The place was BYOB, but it did me no good cause I didn't even know what city I was in.

Anyhow we get to the Menu and order our food. Ordered some Turkish dishes. The portions were a tad samll I didn't find the food to be great or anything out of the ordinary but it was good like  fresh, high quality ingredients I felt but it was just missing a bit of a kick that I like in my food, so depending on your palate you might find it great.

The  food was good Service here was great and the ambiance was even better.

Definitely would suggest this for nice date night!
I probably won't come back here cause lol once again I was lost….this place felt like it was in the middle of nowhere.

So Food is 3.5 , service is 5, and the vibe is a 10 🙂

  4. I love this location. Food is excellent, the decor and lighting is fantastic, and the service was great. I didn't even know this location existed. I will be coming back here again.

  5. Toros is one of the well established restaurant chains in the NJ area that offers Mediterranean food and one of its gems located in New Milford is a hot spot. The nice cozy family restaurant is nicely decorated with Ottoman like murals and pictures on the walls. For starters the veal liver was exceptional and the lentil soup was nice and creamy, for dinner our lamb kebabs were cooked to perfection and the hunkar begendi (eggplant puree with chunks of lamb) was outstanding. The desserts were unbelievably delicious, the rice pudding and the baklava was perfect. Mesut was our friendly server and he was very attentive. One interesting fact about this restaurant is this their back entrance, which gives you an all access look inside the kitchen while you walk to get seated.

  6. One of my friends has been raving about the takeout from this spot for awhile so three of us met there for lunch on a Sunday. For lunch they offered a menu where you could choose soup or salad, an app, and a main course. We all chose different apps (eggplant, hummus, and lebni), an order of grape leaves, and all got some sort of lamb for our main courses.

The grilled bread they serve is good and pairs nicely with the dips. We all loved the lebni – it was so smooth and delicious. The hummus was okay but I've had better.. The eggplant dip was very good and I couldn't stop eating it. The grape leaves were disappointing especially since I remember the grape leaves from the restaurant that was previously in this space. Those grape leaves were out of the ordinary with a bit of sweetness and crunch – these grape leaves were just standard.

They served us our main courses pretty quickly after the apps but we just did some rearranging to fit everything on the table. All of our lamb was delicious and I cleaned my plate. The accompanying rice pilaf, couscous and salad were unremarkable but we were so full from the appetizers it didn't matter. All in all this is a nice place with tasty food. It's a great spot to check out if you're in the area.

  7. GOod Turkish restaurant. If you park in the back, you get to walk through the kitchen to the restaurant.  I liked that because I got to see how clean the kitchen was.  I didn't like it because I had to walk through the employees at the back door smoking.

Complimentary warmed bread is given upon seating.  All the food was freshly prepared and very hot.  I had the sautéed chicken which was sliced chicken in a tomato based sauce.  It was served with a scoop of rice pilaf.  Dish was very good.

I gave it a 3 star rating because while I thought it a s good and would go back, I didn't think it was outstanding or creative.

  8. Lovely ambience. Staff was very polite and attentive. I ordered chicken kabab with bulgar and rice, and a starter of hummus and bread. Was sooo good. The flavours in the chicken were beautiful! Had an overall lovely experience and will def go back 🙂
