  1. I reeeeeeally liked this place!!! Came here for lunch and it was pretty quiet but I loved it! It was right before they closed up for dinner. The staff was nice and the food was sooo good! The menu wasnt extensive but thats ok bc everything they had looked good. Got the spinach soup and the fish tacos. YUM!!!!!!!! Def going back when I'm in the area!

  2. To be transparent, I only ate here once over late brunch.  Regardless, the food was incredible (I ordered the Banana Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast, which was as legendary as it sounds) and the atmosphere was very casual and welcoming.  The service was good and accommodating while prices were inline with the average West Village restaurant (if not slightly cheaper).  Maybe it was because we stopped in so late in the afternoon, but we were able to sit right down without a reservation.

All in all, if you're looking for a quick and easy casual brunch spot in the West Village area, this place is for you.

  3. After searching very long and hard for a good priced deal to go eat at a restaurant, my friend and I decided on Good Restaurant because 1.) West Village location 2.) Cute ambiance 3.) $25 THREE COURSE dinner deal from 6-7pm with dishes from their usual main menu! By 6pm, we were so excited to get our grub on and eat a good meal in the midst of all the couples on Valentine's Day. At that point, I've probably been on the website at least 7-8 times in the past week to try and decide what I would order. When we got there, we were very disappointed with the set up. Originally, the host put us at a tight corner table with one of the chairs being part of the booth. But I asked if he can move us to a different table and he instead took us to another table that wasn't much better at all. It was against the wall to my right and the original table was only less than a feet behind me and there was ANOTHER table now less than a feet on my left. The table next to us pretty much heard our entire conversation FYI. One star for the sweet pretty young waitress we had who was very attentive. We got sat down and had our water and stuff by the time I asked where was the early supper menu because all we saw in front of us was a $58 3 course valentine's day menu….she told us that this was the only menu available today and my guest and I were both pretty disappointed because that defeated the whole purpose of us going there in the first place. But whatever, we'll treat ourselves since it's also single awareness day and just suck up the price since we felt awkward by that point to just get up and leave. I got the mussels for appetizer, hanger steak for entrée, and the red velvet cake for dessert. My friend got the gnocchi for appetizer, lamb for entrée, and red velvet cake for dessert. My mussels arrived and nearly half of them weren't even fully cooked/opened to the point I felt robbed and asked the waitress if they could do something about it. She was really nice about it and came back out with a fresh plate and they were all open now! Yay. My entrée was extremely disappointing though despite me specifically ordering medium rare to avoid it being overcooked and dry. Sadly, the hanger steak was not worth the price at all and the sides were a bit burnt and the salsa verde sauce it came with was very salty. The plain fingerling potatoes and lettuce on side were average at best. The dessert was not even better…my friend even said it didn't taste remotely like red velvet cake so we kind of just picked around it. I even felt a bit embarrassed that I picked such a disappointing meal since she was only visiting for the weekend. But she was pleased with the gnocchi, but meh about the lamb because it wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best she's had. My total with tax and tip was $73 and hers with a glass of wine was about $84. So for the price that we paid for the quality of food we had and based on this experience, I would say skip this place and that it's not worth your time/money. Not sure if I would give this place another chance especially since the early supper deal was what we had actually looked forward to. I went back on the website to see if I blindly overlooked it, but nowhere on the site did I see it saying that the only menu that would be available that night would be the Valentine's Day menu. The early supper menu is even advertised as offered nightly! Grr. Obviously we wouldn't have gone otherwise if we had known it was going to be $58 minimum per person, which was what we were trying to avoid in the first place.

  5. Ordered: Gluten-free chocolate pumpkin bread, Maple bacon donut, and Brisket hash

Pros–The restaurant's decor was lovely–modern and abstract. The brisket hash was packed with flavor. The potatoes, onions and peppers made for a hearty meal. There were small pieces of rosemary mixed in with the dish which kicked the  flavor up a notch. The egg was cooked to perfection. The maple bacon donut was a nice balance of sweet and savory.

Cons–The donut's flavor was a little overpowered by its fried flavor. The pumpkin bread was somewhat dry. The servers hovered a little too much.

  6. Cute place in the heart of West Village with absolutely amazing food. Came here for brunch with a girlfriend and we both got the brunch deal where is the 'get it all' for $28. The meal comes with an entree, side, and drink of your choice so we both got different items and split everything. Between the both of us, we got lemon ricotta pancakes, the breakfast burrito, fruit salad, chipotle fries, and cocktails of our own choice. The lemon ricotta pancakes were to die for. So flavorful and a huge portion, and the breakfast burrito was super filling and delicious. I'm always skeptical of how breakfast burritos are because sometimes the right proportions of stuff isn't in them, but this hit the spot. Great amount of cheese, eggs, etc. This place was a steal for the price, and it's an adorable place to catch up with a friend or a small group. Highly recommend it, I'll be coming back for the pancakes without a doubt.

  7. This was good, not great. And I guess, that's really all it has to be, if that's the name of the restaurant. It's rough, because I'm sure they get that all the time with a name like that. Yikes. I came here for a brunch with my sister, and though it decor was really well-kept and nice, it was fairly cramped, even for just a party of two. Fitting the number of people they do into the space they have is quite the feat, but unfortunately, not very comfortable.

I got the spinach and mushroom omelet with home fries, and my sister got the lemon ricotta pancakes. Fairly standard dishes, but my omelet seemed a bit watery and overcooked and the home fries were incredibly greasy and mushy. The redeeming part of the meal was my side of breakfast sausages, which were delicious, and were apparently sourced from Faicco's, which I'm all about. I tried the pancakes and the overall texture was really buttery and nice, although a bit tart for my liking. Sure, I'm nitpicking a little, and I don't really have a sweet tooth, and for the effort they put into the presentation, I'd want it to taste just as good as it looked. In all, the meal was average and I felt like I wanted a little more out of it. I don't necessarily have to be wowed every time I have brunch, but just barely average usually won't bring me back.

It's a shame because it really does seem like they put in a good deal of effort in their dishes, but the taste and textures just weren't up to par. The service was pretty attentive throughout the meal, but it took a bit of time for us to get our check. I can't say I'll be back myself, but it seems like it's not a bad option for brunch if you're in the area.

  8. The Sunday brunch was the perfect start to my summer in New York. Seriously. It was such a good deal and everything was amazing.

For the bread basket I highly recommend the biscuits, maple doughnut, and pecan bread. You can also select one separately if you get the get-it-all, which is a deal if you are planning on getting a cocktail. I really enjoyed my passion mimosa, even if it was smaller than the rest of my parties'.

If you do get the get-it-all the lemon ricotta pancakes are amazing. The lemon sauce is on the side and while it is not overpoweringly lemony it is nice to be able to control the amount.

    Great brunch spot.
