I ordered 1 very tasty chicken sharwama and shish kebob sandwich. It's on the small side. I really wanted another 1 but the damage was $12.25 for both. I may have been jipped but I wasn't going to start any trouble there.
I will return when its not too busy and I fully understand how to order there.
The kufta kabob sandwich with a side of garlic butter. Do it. I'm telling you, you will not regret it. All of the sandwiches here are excellent. This restaurant is by far the best spot for shawarma/kufta kabob sandwiches in Paterson and Clifton.
Fresh meat, perfect seasoning, the food is just mouthwatering and CHEAP. Super cheap. You cant go wrong with $3.50 sandwiches. Seriously.
AND the inside decor isn't as dive-y as it used to be, they renovated well.
If your girl is a foodie, great spot to take, also great for families. One concern is make sure you are clear in your order, most of the people(if not all) are native Arab speakers so there is a language barrier. But totally worth any bit of confusion.
Go here and eat whatever is on the menu with confidence.
I have tried Al Kumah on two different occasions and the food is decent. The Kufta sandwich is the best item on the menu but their shawermas (both chicken and beef) fall short.
Felt like trying a new spot for Arabic food so I walked in here. It doesn't look like much, but you can see the meats grilling directly behind the counter. The service was pretty bad and the restaurant looks pretty dirty, but I like the falafel here more than over at Al-Basha. The falafel balls are more moist on the inside. The tahini sauce served with the falafel reminded me greatly of grape leaves. Shawarma was also very good, with a nice char.
The portions are a bit smaller for the same price though.
