Ciao delizioso! Christine's deserves more than 5 stars! Been coming here now for 3 years and have never been disappointed. This place is pure enjoyment from the appetizers to dessert and lets not forget our amazing Chef/Owner Ron. Greeted by Ron always upon arrival and seated quickly for our reservation upon check in. The food is incredible. The flavors are perfect, spices are never overdone and all dishes are purely amazing. We have celebrated many important events here and they have always been special.
Our first visit we were a party of six and sat outside. Heat lamps kept us toasty. We started with the arugula salad, sushi grade pepper seared tuna, 1/2 portion of cavatelli, eggplant rollatini, to share. All appetizers delicious. I had the most wonderful Kansas pork chop, it was like filet mignon but pork. It comes with hot peppers but they mixed sweet and hot for me so it wasn't too spicy. My husband had a butterfly veal chop. Our friends had osso buco, Shrimp alla Griglia, Chicken Margarita and Linguini alla Vongole. All our dishes were fantastic, delicious and picture perfect. Portions are generous. Our server was very good.
Second, third, forth…………always top the last visit. Tomahawk steak is beyond amazing, so if that interests you order ahead. Feeds 2 people and you may be bringing home leftovers.
This place is a must try but make a reservation. Sometimes places loose their energy and stay the same, but not here as you can always expect to leave feeling like you never want to eat at another restaurant again. We are Italian and we always talk about the food here after each visit. Ron is so nice and very social with his guests. BYOB which is great. After dinner we went for a lovely walk by the water.
Semplicemente fantastico!
I decided to try Christine's tonight as a lone diner. Walking into any joint without a reservation is iffy especially later in the week and with a smaller place there's a chance you'll wait or be turned away. Here at Christine's they went out of their way to seat me. There was a table right by the door but I wanted to sit in the place to get the lay of the joint and Ron the owner made that happen. Turns out he had several large bookings since it was the night of church confirmation this slowed down service a little but believe me the service here is absolutely fabulous. My waiter was Desi and he was happy, skilled and personable. chef/owner Ronnie make his presence know throughout the dining rooms and he's also a really friendly and happy soul.
This place is more like going to an Italian family dinner. The accommodations are unbelievable. The details are all covered. Your glass is always filled your waiter and the owner are on top of your every need and not over attentive.
The complementary bread plate is a chewy sliced Italian bread with garlic butter and served with fresh made roasted peppers. It was hard not to eat the entire plate. All the appetizers are killer like the baked clams and stuffed artichoke but the star attraction are the Italian egg rolls. This is a must have with house made sausage, cheese, chopped broccoli rabe wrapped in and egg roll dough and deep fried then cut up and served with a delicious balsamic reduction. Here's a tip, put some of the roasted peppers on the egg rolls, that is if you can resist eating the peppers before your appetizer is gone.
I learned Ron does a lot of his own butchering and makes his own sausage. He does not do fresh pasta but I couldn't tell from my sausage cavatelli broccoli rabe entree. This is one of my own signature dishes but chef Ron's is better than mine and truly THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!! I noticed everything served is freshly made with fresh herbs and the grated cheese is also house grated fresh. There are so many nice touches that the average diner will miss like the high quality silverware and glasses. They take your leftovers and repackage them in the kitchen this is a high class touch. The place is BYOB but they take care of your bottles if you wish. This place in my opinion is perfect for a date. They are more interested in your enjoyment than turning over tables.
If you are anywhere in the bayshore area you must, MUST enjoy a meal here!
I forgot my leftovers on the table when I left and I am so bummed that I'm going back soon and ordering an extra dish for the road putting it in my car before I eat in the restaurant.
FoodDude! I dream of food while I'm eating!
