  1. I was actually a little hesitant about visiting this Noches de Colombia location upon reading horrendous reviews but my friend and I didn't want to travel far and this location serves ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES and the location in Montclair doesn't…

Upon entering the host/ waitress (now I see how this could be a problem when busy) with a friendly smile greeted us and directed us to sit down…

Immediately, we ordered the passion fruit sangria…
Mini bandeja paisa for me ( pork grinds-chicharron, grilled steak-carne asada, arepa is like corn dough , sausage -chorizo, rice and beans, maduros- sweet plantains, and a egg….. Dinner for champs and still had leftovers…
My GF ordered Bisteck encebollado – steak with sauteed onions and rice with maduros…

Everything was delicious and well prepared , lots of flavor including the beans that usually lack flavor in a lot of restaurants.. I also noticed the prices are slightly cheaper than the location in Montclair so I'm sticking to this place and will make sure to come on a weekday/weeknight so it doesn't deter me from never coming again…

Oh and did I mention the passion fruit- maracuya sangria really hit the spot…

  2. The service is horrible…they have no clue what they are doing when it comes to sitting patrons at the correct table, the wait is extremely long and I have tried this place multiple times and walked out each time, which is why I give it 2 stars overall.

The food and drinks I give 4 stars because the food is well prepared and especially enjoy chichurrons more here because not so fatty. The takeout is just as good as dining in the restaurant. The drinks are definitely good and will sneak up on u. The service at the bar was good and the bartender was good as well.

Would return for the drinks at the bar!!

  3. Who doesn't like Noches De Columbia? Bandeja Piasa, sangria/ Mojitos and Chicharrones are heaven sent to me. The food is always good and consistent at all locations. This location however has a different story. The service is hit or miss while dining in.

Therefore our solution is to enjoy this establishment by ordering takeout and rocking out at the bar for happy hour. HH and takeout deserves 4 stars!!!

    Happy Hour:
    – Definitely stop in for HH! $4 a pop on Mojitos and margaritas.
    – lovely decor with TVs to enjoy the flavorful drinks.
    – HH runs from 4pm-7pm weekdays.

    Takeout:
    – Bandeja Piasa all the way baby! This lovely dish will calm all of the hungers inside you. Comes with steak, Chicharrones, chorizo, rice, beans and an egg. If your not ready to go all in, then you can try the mini Piasa which is half of the full order.
    – Empanadas. The mini appetizer order comes with 10 bite sized empanadas for $6.95.

The staff is awesome as well. Denise is our go to server! She's awesome and delivers great Mojitos!

I hope things will change in time service wise. I know this location has potential for greatness and I will update my review accordingly once it occurs.

  4. I LOVE me some Noches de Colombia…i love this one in particular because it is literally 5 minutes from my house!!! (insert "raise the roof" emoji here). This is a great casual, nonfussy, family-friendly restaurant. The food is consistently good, especially EVERYTHING. No really, everything is good. Just open the picture menu, randomly point to a dish, wait for said dish to arrive at your table, and enjoy. They have a bar and their drinks are bomb, particularly the maracuya sangria. I always walk out of Noches feeling great!!! Yes, most of the waiters have limited English, but this is where the picture menu comes in so handy!!! Yes, service can be slow but that just means they are taking their time adding extra love and flavor to your dish. And yes, the parking sucks, but you can walk off that delicious food on your way back to your car. Plus, they deliver now so that's another options.

  5. Picked up dinner on Fathers Day from here, never even knew this place existed.  What an amazing place!!  LOVED it.
Cannot wait to eat in and have a mojito, saw them preparing the lime juice FRESH.
    Great ambience.

  6. Another Noches you may ask? Why of course! This particular location in Belleville, New Jersey is one of their most recent addition to their chain. It gives off the familiar feeling that the other locations I have visited provides. Every time I make my way to a Noches I always expect food, flavor, and an amazingly good time.  It was no different here at the Bellevile location.  I swear I think there's a Noches restaurant for every 5 township here in Jersey.  They're springinging up like roses.  I love discovering new locations and seeing if they live up to the reputation.  At this rate there will be a Noches all over the U.S.  When this happens then I can say that I was one of the first to discover the meaning of delicious Colombian food.

Anyways if you haven't visited a Noches yet then you're in for quite a surprise.  Order an appetizer, the sampler is a good choice, and try the bandeja paisa for your first time.  I don't need to give advice to more seasoned visitors because I trust that you now have an established set of favorites.  Getting back to those greenhorns it is important that you leave room for dessert, (if that is at all possible) because the bread pudding that they serve is to die for.  I kind of mean that literally because after consuming all the food that you order at Noches there is a slightly elevated chance that you might have a coronary attack.  Oh well that's what heart medication and a good ol' visit to the hospital is for!

Cheers and enjoy amigo! You only live once after all…

P.S. This location is full-bar and has some awesome happy hour prices.
