  1. I went to Sultan for a Tuesday night Hookah catch-up session with a friend of mine who I haven't seen in awhile and it was perfect. We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated upstairs. The ambiance was really chill and a gave you the perfect setting to enjoy a nice talk with your friend while smoking some Hookah. Some things that added to the setting were that the flat screens placed around the whole area playing Arabic music which was pretty cool + and the cushioned benches. As for the Hookah – we smoked a sour apple flavor – I don't really smoke too often so I wouldn't know how to review it – but if it counts at all I thought it was pretty good.

    Note:
They have a mini parking lot right behind of the restaurant.

  2. I had heard great things about this place and wanted to try it.  I go to all the other hookah bars in the area and decided to check this place out last Saturday around 9pm because La Ziza was full.  Unfortunately, due to my experience with the staff I never even got to try it.  I have honestly never dealt with a staff that was so unaccommodating.

So my friend and I go there and see a wedding party in the first floor.  I ask the valet if it's open to the public tonight and he replied that it was and there were open seats upstairs.  Great- we valet the car and go inside.  We go upstairs and the place is almost completely empty, there was one table with people on the side of the stair case and another table in the back.  We approach who I assume was the manager and a waitress and we tell them table for two and the manager.  We have no reservation and we tell them that.  The manager said that's fine and seats us at a table.   We take off our coats and start looking at the menu deciding which hookah we want.

The same server (I didn't catch her name) who just spoke to us with the manager came to the table and asked again if we had reservations.  I told her no, we just told them we didn't.  Then she said that because there was a performer that night we would have to pay $55 each to sit there which was never mentioned when we asked the valet or when we walked in.  We told her we didn't want to eat that much- just wanted a few appetizers, hookah and some wine.  Then she said we can only stay there if we want to finish in less than an hour.  Umm.. both her and the manager JUST sat us, shouldn't they have mentioned that in the first place?  The whole interaction was just bizarre- the waitress had attitude and didn't seem to want to even help us and was not really willing to give us other options besides eating + hookah in under an hour.   I understand that they had a performer there that night, but they could have been more pleasant explaining that before we sat down and  at least attempted to be accommodating.

After that, I told the waitress we would take our business elsewhere and went to Kamil's where they were happy to accommodate us!

In addition to this, the ambiance looks extremely dated and the menus were dirty.  If you're looking for a fun time go to la ziza (make reservations) or for better food/service go to kamil's

  3. I came in very late with friends, the parking situation was good, in fact we parked right in front of the steps leading into the restaurant.

Walked in and sat down, great decor, good lighting, set a nice relaxed mood. Took a booth by the windows. Waitress was polite, welcoming, and accommodating.

We ordered salad, hummus, tea, and they were excellent.

I ordered lemonade, hoping it would be fresh because I asked the waitress if it was fresh, she said yes it was, so I tried it and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't fresh either. How do I know? I saw the lemonade mix behind the counter on a shelf towards the floor, it was in plain view of us lol. The drink itself was also ridiculously sweet. I could be wrong though.

But overall had a good experience with them. Maybe I'd come back again.

  4. Too expensive for just okay hookah, the service is also not very good. Last time I went they had live music, and after we got our hookah and food brought to the table they told us they were charging us 10 bucks a person for live music. Well if you told me that in the first place, I would have left, I felt scammed. It took forever to get coals too, if you are busy maybe you should have more than one person doing the coals. The parking also sucks. Not going back.

  5. Expensive for an OK hookah and crappy food.

Sat outside for lunch on a nice, sunny afternoon. Service was not good. Our hookahs came about 10 minutes after we ordered. Our food didn't come for another half hour or so. Napkins were not provided. They were very slow with coal changes.

Food was not good. I wanted some shawarma, but they did not have lamb. Got the beef in sandwich form. It didn't even seem to be in a pita, more like a tortilla. Very understuffed too. Total bill for two hookahs and two entrees was $60.

Ridiculously overpriced for bad food and service.

  6. The food and entertainment here were good, but the space is just too small for how many tables/seats they have. I am not exaggerating when I say that someone was walking behind me and moving my hookah out of the way every 5 minutes. At times even knocking some of the cols off and onto my handbag!
