  1. Having an excellent Spanish joint near by when needed is an understatement. Pollos a la Brasa is always busy and at time the line curls around the store. They have a good selection of the normal Spanish dishes, seafood, and desserts.
I find that $20-25.00 bucks will feed the family quite well. I usually do the rotisserie chicken, rice and beans, platano and usually their spicy chicken which is cooked well with a nice spicy crisp. I've tried their salmon before which was very tasty. Portions are usually good and the staff is always friendly. There is good amount of space if you wish to sit at a table and enjoy the Spanish music playing. Despite not having many Spanish grub options in the area, this place is well worth the stop.
    RECOMMENDATION: THUMBS UP

  2. I came here because of the hype from fellow yelpers. Elmont Road features many Caribbean restaurants and delis. The Dominican food here is very good, however, the prices are not. The family meals aren't exactly family sized. For $17.00 you get 1 Whole chicken, 1 side (rice and beans, fries or plaintains). There is a large selection of seafood, turkey and pork.

The food is very well seasoned NOT salty and there is a large buffet of items. The rotisserie chicken is what I come for. Very moist and well seasoned. Their yellow rice is fluffy and the Olives make it perfection. Definitely a great spot to come to if you don't want to cook.
