  1. I've been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the nightclub so I guess i'm pretty qualified to leave this review!

Breakfast and lunch are very good, but my favorite is the tapas menu at lunch! They are pretty small so don't share between more than 2-3 people. Also, some of them are pricey but you can order 3 for about $12 and it's worth it. They have delicious soups and salads. Burgers are good as well. Never disliked any entree here.

As far as the nightclub, I heard it was good but when I arrived on a Friday night at midnight, it was just about empty. Besides my group of 10 or so, there was barely anyone there. Pretty disappointing. But at least the drinks and music were good.

  2. A mixed bag…..some dishes were good, some not so good…service was friendly, but they brought all 6 dishes out at the same time…even though it was stated they would come out as they were done. I got the strong feeling that they have all these things waiting under heat lamps waiting for someone to order them, but they honestly didn't taste like that. The octopus was tender and delicious like it was just made, the calamari was good, the flatbread was the only thing that tasted premade. And even if I wasn't crazy about some of the other dishes, they were wellmade. The sangria was not good. It was the sangria that came with the 5 tapas for $50, so maybe if you order a separate sangria and pay full price for it, they make it the right way.

  3. Noma Social is tucked away inside the lobby of the radisson hotel. They have great food, drinks and desserts. The atmosphere is great and service is to match.

If you feel like putting your dancing shoes, come on a Friday and Saturday. The sound system is not the greatest but beggars can't be choosers.

The crowd here is pretty mixed but people in their 40's seem to stand out.

  4. This review is for the Noma Social bar / cocktail lounge co-located with the Radisson New Rochelle.

The Noma Social, or bar, cocktail lounge, whatever you want to call it…  Looks nice.

But the servers / waitresses / bartenders were dismal.  Clueless.  Had no idea how to A) make a drink and B) operate the remote controls for the TVs behind the bar…

"the bartenders coming on at 6 pm know how to change the channel, they'll do it when they get here…"

that's not an excuse or justifiable reason..  Isn't being able to pour a drink, take a drink order properly, and simple function of changing the channel on the TV a basic job requirement?

The two bimbets that worked here did not know how to do this…  It's your typical case where a female gets hired for her looks, but not skills.

They also made several errors with the bar bill, on multiple bills…  I tipped her a dollah and she was so bad that A) I wish that I hadn't tipped her and B) I wanted to ask for the tip back…

    Poor training, poor execution.

  5. Tapas and full dinner menu are found at this clubby restaurant at the Radisson hotel here. Service excellent, interesting ambiance, would be fun if not working. Pizza OK, beet salad, clam chowder and mussels all very good. Nice little restaurant all-in-all that's hoping on Saturday night….

  6. Hmmm….where to begin? So, hubby purchased a Groupon voucher out of the blue, for us to use here. I was kind of psyched because I wanted to try this place out during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week but my sis and I just couldn't fit it into our schedule.
So after seeing a movie, hubby, my son and I ventured here with anticipation, hoping for the best.

So, we parked, and walked up to the main entrance which was lacking a host/hostess.  I took the initiative and approached a server to request a table. Another server eventually came and took us to a table.  We were told that the taps were made to order and they would be sent to the table upon completion. I suspect they just re-heat everything, because all of our tapas came out almost at the same time.

Hubby had a voucher for 8 tapas. I ordered the Octopus and Shrimp Tapas. The Octopus was tender but it tasted as though it were marinated in lemon, cooked in lemon and served in lemon.  I could not take a bite of it without my mouth puckering as if I were sucking on a  lemon. I tried to save it with salt and bread but by the end, I just could not finish it.  It was NOT good.  Now, to the Shrimp.  I am assuming it was supposed to be a garlicky-citrus dish and the sauce was not half bad but the shrimp tasted as though it were purchased at Costco and that it was thawed out and kept long.  It had a not-so-fresh taste.

My son had the Skirt Steak and Crispy Calamari.  He liked both dishes but I chalk that up to his teenage garbage disposal appetite.  My husband also had the Skirt Steak, that he referred to as a KFC Potato Bowl of shredded overcooked steak, buried under dry shoestring fires.  Hubby also had the Beef Empanadas which he deemed as, "Okay but nothing special".

Since we had two extra tapas plates to order, we decided to share the Asparagus a la Plancha which contained lardo, and the Ricotta Calzones Tapas which were accompanied by a pleasant Pesto Sauce but, could have used some seasoning, themselves.

I can only speak of the Tapas and Tastes menus because we were limited to ordering from those two sections and they DO offer many other items on their menu.  All I can say is, if the very first item of your menu suck, that speaks volumes, as to the remaining offerings. The Gnarly Vine remains my favorite tapas joint in the area. It's less pretentious and the food is SO much better.

  7. I came here for the lounge part not to eat so I cant speak about the food. I came here on a Friday night around midnight and there were a few people not empty and not super crowded. The place its pretty and with a modern look which I'm a big fan of.
The music was the best part, it was mix of latin, hip hop and top 40s. The DJ was great a mixing and played great songs.
The bartender was fast and made the drinks strong, not sure how much they were since I didn't pay but they were good.
