Hearty amounts of food but the spicy beef has some weird texture. I can't really say this is good food even for tex mex but the prices are decent and they give you a solid hefty portion if you go for a fajita platter.
Super friendly and super cheap. The super-friendly is what compels me to give 2 stars instead of 1.
Tacos, no matter what the meat, all taste the same.. mild, dull, and dry.
The guac was terrible and the salsa marginally less terrible.
Great location with the dirty look that makes you think they are a hidden gem…but really, just some lucky, nice folks with cheap tacos near the subway stop.
I usually skip meals during work and today passing by my first pick up I noticed this tiny place and decided I would walk in and try it out! The menu is pretty large and very decently priced.
They have Mexican sodas. (jabbaritos) and all sodas (gingerale, Coke, Diet Coke, Gatorade and some more! The lady at the register is really sweet! There is a seating area but you must go to the counter to order and pick up your food. No waiting service. Just to clean up after you eat.
I had the baja burrito and added guac (2.45 extra). It was okay. Not the best burrito I've had. The rice and chicken were both kind of bland. I also ate the Mexican corn. That was pretty tasty! For the little ones I ordered chips and guac (2.50 for a small with the chips included which isn't a bad price in this area!)
This isn't somewhere id go on a regular basis but i would definitely come back if I was in the mood for it. This isn't something I'd eat everyday. But it wasn't a bad experience!
Very good!! Delicious tortilla soup!! The tacos were very stuffed and DEELISH as well! The dining area is small and a little cold today. Things seem to be made at the moment so that's the reason u wait a little. Hub and I loved it! Will def return!
Fairly average food, though affordably priced. Counter service meant quick service and the seating area was spacious enough to relax while we ate. Not sure I'd come back, but it remains an option if I'm in the area.
Yeah so my conclusion is basically consensus, unfortunately – probably 2.5 stars. The chicken tacos were around 3 stars but the veggie ones were pretty subpar. I didn't find anything exciting or worthwhile to bring me back. I thought the actual setting was not bad – may be OK for a beer. The prices are reasonable but the cost/benefit is not favorable. If I were to come again, I definitely would like to have a few beers with my meal as I think that would likely enhance the experience – without the influence of alcohol, not sure I could revisit this place.
came here starving, and the food is just mediocre. nothing too great, but not bad either. only problem is that the food made me and my bf sick. we were literally making bathroom visits every couple hours. probably won't be returning…

For me the burritos were always tasty and great portions always filling. Tacos are great here too. The value for what you get is outstanding! The woman behind the counter is always helpful and friendly and for fast food this place is awesome!
I nearly always have the crazy chicken burrito or the steak burrito. They guacamole and chips are always satiating too! All types eat here from hipsters, to families to blue collar workers. Atmosphere divey but good and lively.
I really do enjoy coming here every time. If you know what to expect and what you are looking for then you will not be dissapointed. A definite comfort food experience.
