Used to be my favorite spot for a good margarita with 5 stars but I'm here now and the margaritas are super duper sour. Not a huge fan of that. On top of it, I told the bartender and she tried to add sugar to it but it really just tastes awful. Maybe because it's happy hour? Not sure but I may not be coming back for another.
-We went 1 hour before the end of happy hour.
I've come to Burrito Bar a couple of times, and I came again last night. It was really crowded and the hostess told us we had a half hour wait for 3, luckily after a few minutes we were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar to wait. The atmosphere here is always really fun and lively which I like when going for dinner on the weekend. We sat by the bar for close to an hour waiting and ordering a couple of rounds of drinks. The manager was really nice and came over to us, first making sure we put our names down, and the second time to see if we were enjoying our drinks.
When we were finally seated, we brought our drinks to the table and were greeted quickly by a friendly waiter. He brought us over glasses, pitcher of water, chips & salsa. We looked over the menu for a bit and decided to order the mile high nachos and calamari as an appetizer. The nachos were delicousssssssss, they were covered in cheese and beans and everything, ugh so good!
As an entree I got the taco salad with grilled chicken, my sister got the taco salad with shrimp and my mom got a shredded chicken burrito bowl. The salad was good, they offer a salad dressing which I think had ginger in it which was absolutely delicious. My mom expected the burrito bowl to be in a taco shell bowl rather than an actual bowl, which was disappointing for her, though the menu didn't specify that it came in a taco shell.
The food and drinks are good and decently priced. The staff is really nice and they try to be accommodating with the long wait. I'll probably come back again in the warmer months when I can sit outside.
Atmosphere was cool very lively and service was okay too. Very busy and has a good crowd but the food and drinks left much to be desired. Didn't like the fact that items on the menu are "as is" as our waiter stated . This is the first Mexican restaurant I've been too where they don't really cater to their guest it like just pick something and order. Hopefully your not allergic to anything in the menu like I was or your options are extremely limited. I didn't like the frozen margarita either it was extremely bitter and tasted like cheap alcohol but I ordered another one on the rocks and it was pretty decent. Don't think I'll be going back here anytime soon
I've been to this location about two times, and I must say the food here is pretty decent.
Both times that I came here I got the chicken quesadillas and the guacamole! The guacamole is out of this world! The chicken quesadillas are mediocre, nothing I would specifically recommend to anyone. The frozen margaritas compliment the food very well, my personal favorite would be the watermelon one! The staff is nice and friendly and I think its a great spot to hangout with friends.
This place annoys me to no end. Reservations were made for 6pm, I arrived at 5:30 and checked in with the hostess. I kindly asked if it was possible for us to sit outside or a table close to the outside. The hostess was kind and entered the request for me. My whole party arrived promptly at 6. The hostess tells us they are setting up the table. We wait another 10 minutes and a man comes out and tells us any minute now because the previous patrons just got their check. It was just a story he made up to appease us. He also told us a reservation does not guarantee a table at that time, it puts you on priority on the wait list. I've never heard such bull.
Mediocre food + terrible customer service = unhappy Jeannie
Extremely surprised I haven't wrote a review, I've been coming here for over ten years, we usually come during the week, there is no wait, not that crowded, and if you're driving, it's easier to find parking. The fresh guacamole is good, always have to add more salt, they also make it table side, which I guess is cool. I always order the mini chimis, it comes with three, and is on the appetizer menu, but I love them! They have them three different ways, but I always order all chicken. My husband on the other hand had tried different stuff from the menu, and loved it all, recently we ordered the chili, and it was very good, not too spicy, had just enough kick to it.
Customer service has never been a problem, or else I would have written this review ten years ago, you can order from seamless, which we have, and surprisingly delivery is very fast! And the food is still warm.
Burrito Bar is like so famous. Every time I tell someone I want a good Mexican spot with great drinks someway somehow they always recommend Burrito Bar.
Simply put they have good food, GREAT drinks, and a cool ambience. Nothing to brag about but I won't downplay how it makes me feel. I like coming here but I just wish sometimes the service was better. When it comes to service it's a hit or miss.
Their drinks are REALLY good though and when I come here that's usually the only reason why so they're good in my book.
Fun place! Can't tell you how many times I've passed this place that finally decided to come here for a girl's night.
Our group arrived around 7:30pm and it was fairly packed. Sat at the bar, until a table was ready, and had a few margarita's which were half price, but only at the bar since happy hour finished at 7pm. $4 rita's served in a tall glass, not bad for the price. Once our table was ready we ordered table side guacamole, which was tasty. For dinner we decided on nachos with chicken and beans, burrito, and Tiny Tim taco's. I really enjoyed the nachos and wasn't expecting such a HUGE plate of food. For $8, it is a really good deal. They aren't kidding when they say 8 mile high nachos! Massive pile of chips, slathered with cheese, guac, beans, and tons of other fixings. I wasn't able to eat everything and had plenty to last me throughout the week!
The staff was attentive and friendly and even took care of my friend who didn't like her coconut flavored margarita. We even got free hats with our food!
Overall it was a fun time, I would be back for happy hour and appetizers.
