My favorite place to stop for drinks around Central Park!!!! They have happy hour Monday-Friday 4-7, $5 frozen margaritas. The mango & passion fruit are my favorite. Whenever I'm venturing around the area with friends we always stop here!
Would have been three stars if they didn't charge us for the sour cream. It was brought to our table; we didn't ask for it so we thought it came with the meal we ordered. Lo and behold, when it comes to the bill, they charged $2 for it. It's not about the money but rather the principle. They didn't tell us this was additional cost. I find it really shady.
Besides that, they have a good lunch special. A menu with different items for $10 and comes with a free sangria. You can't substitute with soda or another beverage so if you don't want to smell like booze back at the office, skip it. We ordered the enchiladas and the meal itself was good. You get two enchiladas: one beef and one cheese. It comes with a decent portion of rice and beans. The meal is just enough for lunch for a price that is good for this area. They also serve complimentary chips and salsa (which I know was complimentary because it wasn't charged on our bill). The chips were nice and hot – tasted very fresh. The salsa was lackluster. It was a bit spicy but very watered down.
Overall, it's not a bad place. Has a cute vibe and feels very festive but I didn't like how they didn't tell us about the extra charge for sour cream, sour cream we didn't request.
Happy hour $5 Margaritas and $6 well drinks from 4-8 pm I believe daily. Not to shabby. I was at the wrong place so I had to down my drink and move a few doors down to join my friends, I even asked the bartender if I can take my drink with me, of course I couldn't but I don't mind a paper cup! Well at least he was nice about it. This review is only for Happy Hour I didn't sample the menu.
Came here with 7 friends this past weekend.
The place is cute, but fairly small. Servers were friendly and attentive.
However, the food is just not good- and the drinks were even worse. I ordered an original mojito and it was the worst mojito I've ever had. The only drink that was enjoyed at my table was one of the margaritas.
I had the fish tacos, and they were really not good. The tortilla was stale and tasted store bought, and the fish seemed like a frozen fish stick that had been microwaved. We were all extremely hungry, but really weren't happy with our meals. The rice and beans were also flavorless.
Two of my friends ordered the dessert and loved it- so there's that.
With so many choices in NYC for awesome Mexican food, I just can't recommend Cancun.
I thought Cancun was way too expensive and the food was not all that great. I have had much better Mexican food at a lower price. I give three stars for the margaritas!! They were delicious although they added more tequila I usually desire.
Went here with co workers during lunch time and the food was delicious. It's best to make reservation in advance that way you get a seat real quick.
The food was delicious their drinks look good but I will have to post on that after. A few ppl had the frozen piña colada or the frozen margarita
Passed by on the way to the train and made a mental note that they had $9.99 lunch specials. Got off work early one Saturday, and was happy to see that lunch specials run on weekends also. Needless to say, it was pretty quiet. I was seated immediately. I ordered the combination that had a flauta, burrito, served with rice and beans. Also comes with a sangria. Can't beat that. They brought chips and salsa as well. Food was very good. U could tell the waiter wasn't thrilled to be there. Understandable. It was a good experience except for the end when I paid my bill. I was not brought back change for over 10 minutes while he was sitting at a table chatting with some diners. I had to ask for change. What was that about?

Three Stars
They were are able to accommodate our party of 9 on this Friday Evening. We pushed our way past some middle age salsa dancers and sat in a booth plus two table configuration. We enjoyed some Chips, Guacamole, and Salsa ($12). I had a Milagros and Soda which came in a narrow glass (no lime). The girls ordered Tequila, Lime, and Soda. The waiter brought back "Skinny Margaritas" which had sweet and sour mix. The food was really good by New York Mexican Food Standards. I had the Taco Salad ($12), which was deep-fried crispy flour tortilla shell filled with shredded chicken, romaine lettuce, onions, quartered wheels of tomatoes, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and some kind of dressing. It was filling, flavorful and completely satisfying. The service was a bit spotty here and there, probably because of the size of our table. I am not really sure if the bill was tallied correctly but whatever. The place thinned out pretty fast around 10pm. The bathroom is a single person facility.
