Now that I've visited this place on more than one occasion figured it was time for an update.
One good thing here is the happy hour they have decent times & specials through out the week.
I usually tend to go with Beer during happy hour since it never disappoints unlike the not so great drinks.
Tried the Margaritas ahh they are not good, taste wise I don't know just doesn't taste good liquor wise ahh not much there.
Vodka & cranberry , I believe it was Stoli ahh after a few sure I had a buzz but not so much really drinks are pretty weak.
Jack & diet not part of the happy hour are ok depends on who makes it they really hold back on the alcohol.
Beers can't wrong Shock top is good nice & cold , Stella & whatever may be on special for the day at least w beer u know your alcohol content is good.
We finally decided to try some food we got some Fries & Chicken Quesadillas.
Really good fries not bad at all nice portion as well.
Quesadillas got it with chicken not bad comes with sour cream & salsa. Regular Nachos are not bad decent to share.
Service wise depending on how packed the place is it can be a bit slow & challenging to get a waitress if seating at the bar a little better but not by much they don't seem to pay close attention.
Prices are not bad during happy hour but kinda high with out it which is not so great.
Place is not bad to hang out & have a few drinks decent atmosphere good during happy hour ok after.
Alright the food was OK. The margarita drink was 11.00 bucks and I was defiantly tipsy (I'm a lite weight), but it wasn't worth 11bucks. My friends got a pitcher of sangria (42.00) but very lite in alcohol, come on guys. The atmosphere upstairs (always crowded) was the best part. The bathrooms were Sooo gross.
Oh yeah and I tried to order at the bar because I got to the venue later then by friends and she wanted me to wait an additional 10 (after the ten) to get drinks? Absolutely not!!!! I gave her my card and cashed out, don't play with me lady! I'll…. Urghhhh :/ long evening let's say. We left and went to my Irish bar down the way. It was cool to do it, but I won't be back.
While strolling through the area around the Madison Square Garden, I saw this outdoor place. Quite a dive but good to sit outside. I had two beers, no food (which was probably as wise decision) as I had dinner plans later. If you are like me thirsty and around this area on a summer day, have a drink. Nothing to rave about though
This place is comically SUBPAR. I'm convinced it's near impossible to find a good place/vibe near Penn Station. I've been here twice on the insistence of friends who wanted to find a cheap and quick place for a drink – and I'm fairly sure I will not be returning (please no)
Food was awful, servers were weird, bathrooms are in terrible condition –
The most comical experience was when they left the upstairs "rooftop" patio part open in freezing weather and the wind starting smashing glasses and dropping food everywhere. It was just plain awkward because none of the staff even noticed…
I added an additional star because I thought the drinks were at the very least decent (i.e.., not watered down, not too expensive)
I came here last night with a friend. They have a patio, a rooftop deck and an inside section. It was cold, so we stayed inside.
Our waitress was great – very friendly and helpful. She got us water right away. Our drinks and food came out quickly, also.
My friend and I both ordered the frozen lime margarita. I was hesitant at first because usually frozen drinks are very watered down. However, this was a fantastic margarita! It was $7 & came in a decent sized glass.
For our food, we both ordered chicken quesadillas. It was a decent portion & came with sour cream and salsa. It looked yummy. However, when I picked a piece up, all of the chicken fell out! The cheese wasn't melty or gooey – it was hard and did not hold the chicken inside. Also, the chicken was a darker meat.
I took 2 stars away because making a good quesadilla is very easy & it was a fail. The bill came to $20 each. For me, this is overpriced because of the subpar quesadilla.
Overall, I would come back. The drinks & the atmosphere are good.
Overpriced for taco's, $8 for chicken on a cardboard plate plus a wedge of lime, I could have done better anywhere else. The place looks more interesting than the food, it's got a nice second floor patio, the interior is two huge community tables and stools surrounded by booths. There's a host but he told us to sit where we would like, quite strange.
I ordered soft taco's with steak, it's pretty good but I couldn't justify the bite size taco's for $10 either.
I went to lunch here the other day with my partner and we choose it because it looked festive and we just happened to be near when hunger struck. Instead of opting for a quick option we decided to enjoy the rooftop and have a few drinks.
The restaurant atmosphere is very cool and I quite enjoyed it. That set us up for disappointment when our chips (brought in a greasy bag) and salsa were brought to the table. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce, and was so bad we ended up ordering guacamole which was fine and was an added charge. The chips were very bland and weren't even good after adding table salt…
We immediately started to regret our decision. Then our entrees, the taco salad, came to the table and was beyond what we were expecting. It was a very tasty salad and the jalepeno vinaigrette was amazing!!!
Overall, drinks are overpriced, the chips and salsa were awful, and only the salad was good. Next time we will go to chipotle and then go to a trendier rooftop bar if we want to drink in the sun.
I don't even know why I'm here.
Con't. This place is weird. I've been here on three separate occasions with three different people. The service is mediocre at it's best and the food, no bueno. Seriously though, I had the fish tacos and they must have fried the fish and placed it on un-heated/cooked/toasted tortillas. I was like what is this though?! And the bathroom, the bathroom was so freaking tight. Why did I let someone drag me here yet again? No bueno! No bueno! No bueno!
