I have stopped in for take out for breakfast and for dinner and liked both meals. Huge portions for pasta, I had the spaghetti puttanesca which was pretty tasty, and served with bread and a nice grated Parmesan cheese on the side. This portion was large enough to share for under $9.00. Also saw the Pena alla vodka and it looked really good, but I didn't try it because it was made with pancetta. I liked the puttanesca dish from Patseys better than from Pizza Masters or Gino's.
For the breakfast I tried the garden omelette, which was $8.00 and served with hash browns and toast. The omelette was really good, lots of fresh veggies and it had a really good sharpe provolone cheese, way better than you normally find in an omelette. The coffee was also pretty good. Compared to other breakfast spots in the heights, I like Patseys better than Tommys because it's less greasy and better than Coach House because it's closer and the ingredients are a little better.
Overall great addition to the Heights, good portions, tasty, at a price point in line with other neighborhood restaurants. The only downside to this place is that it closes at 6 PM and no delivery.
