“Ten times better than Chipotles or Moe's. Wish they had this place in my neck of the woods, however since I work in Staten Island its a definite go to place”

  1. It's a fake Chipotle. The space is small; they have a few tables but it's basically a takeout place. The staff was super enthusiastic – they take their burritos seriously. This is a welcome stop in a neighborhood with not a lot of good food options.

  2. I been coming to this taco joint since they day it openned, they have the best quick tacos, fajitas and burritos ever. Everything is extremely fresh, the staff definatly know how to serve you and the service is quick. The prices are the best you can find anywhere I think in NYC. If your on the island you need to check venga out!

  3. This place is similar to Chipotle because they offer similar menu items. I ordered the three tacos here and I thought it wasn't as flavorful as I would like them to be. I got the guacamole to enhance the flavor, but something was still lacking. The burritos are huge though. Since I do not know of any Chipotle in Staten Island, this place is where I would go if I wanted a burrito bowl.

  4. I get the burrito bowl from here. It can be a hit or a miss. Some times the bowl is done right. Other times, the meat is either dry or overcooked, but good place nonetheless. I just wish they cooked their meat correctly and flavor it well.

  5. If you like Chipotle, this is the Staten Island version.  The food is fresh, price is right and staff is friendly.  They load your burrito, rice bowl and tacos.
    It's worth a try.

  6. I come here with Hammo once or twice a week for our burrito fix.

The menu consists of burritos, tacos and burrito/salad/nachos' bowls — you can choose from grilled chicken, ground beef, steak or pulled pork for your meal or just keep it vegetarian.
I usually get the grilled chicken burrito with cilantro rice, black beans, mild salsa, guacamole and sour cream; the grilled chicken is consistently moist and seasoned — excellent! It's fresh too, unlike many burrito places I've been to where the chicken tastes like it's been out in the open all day due to how dry and rough it tastes. The staff had probably cut up a day's worth of chicken in the morning and let sit out — who knows? Regardless, Venga cuts to order; the difference in doing so for the texture, taste and moisture of the chicken really goes a long way.
I've had the ground beef and steak, too, which were both great as well — they pack so much meat  into the burrito (it seriously weighs about 1 1/2 lbs when they hand it to me) that I really don't know how they're making any money — it's $5 for a burrito !!

Though the burrito is way more than enough, I usually get a side of chips and guacamole, too. The chips are fried daily (they made me a fresh batch when they ran out!), perfectly salted and crispy. The guacamole here is some of the best I've ever had. Each chip dipped in the mildly spicy guacamole with plentiful chunks of avocado and onions and a hint of lime — delicious !!

Two burritos, chips, sides of guacamole and a drink will cost you about $18. Can't get better on SI !!

  7. I had a vegetable bowl with brown rice and the brown rice was hard as a rock. I almost lost a tooth due to it. Do not recommend!

  8. No bathroom to wash my hands before lunch so we left.
