Walking into this pizza spot I had extremely low expectations. It comes off more like a franchised pizza spot than an authentic pizzeria, but I was in a hurry and I needed a bite.
They do deep dish here amongst other menu items. The star of the show went to the deep dish slice with a hint of mozzarella and the tomato sauce on top! The buttery crust, the thick yet ever so fluffy crust. That slice was 4 stars. What ruined the experience was when I went on to slice 2. I had the eggplant, tomato with drizzled balsamic slice and this was a tad bit stale, lacked the flavor as the former slice and wasn't that enjoyable at all.
They had some crazy pizza concoctions from chicken marsala pie to a philly cheesesteak pie and everything in between.
2 slices and a bottle of coke for $8 and change is a-ok by me. Definitely a solid spot for a casual, quick and inexpensive meal.
Walking up to it, it looks kinda goofy, like a pizza place in a cartoon (Jimmy Pesto's, Bob's Burgers) but it made it sorta fun. I want to give about 3.5 but I'll be generous because the servers were very nice, and the place was very clean, and the bathroom was fun. You're not getting the most authentic Italian pizza here, but the food is pretty good, more like a deep dish California Pizza Kitchen vibe, with things like BBQ chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Philly Cheese Steak. I have yet to order from here, and that is a big factor, but I will update when I do. For 2 big eaters to have lunch and be super full for under 20 bucks, I'm happy.
UPDATE: Ordered from here last night and the order came without issue and it really was pretty fast.
I'm not going to lie, I actually really enjoy their pizza. I get my pizza to go and they have a good variety of pies to choose from. Their fresh pie (or Bruschetta pie or fresco pie? I don't remember the name of it but it's got a tomatoes and red onions and chiffanade basel on top) and their philly cheese steak pan pizza is delish. I also quite enjoy their plain slice and sicilian slice. Prices are fairly reasonable and never had a problem w/ the staff.
The interior is also very nice and clean
