Really great ramen dishes at this place and inside of Mitsuwa. Eat some ramen then buy some groceries. You don't need to go to a high-end restaurant when it is just as good here.
My boyfriend and I came here while we were shopping at Mitsuwa Marketplace.
We both ordered miso ramen with pork. Oh man, it was the best ramen I have ever had!
It was crowded, when we went, and our orders came out fast.
Cash only.
Had the charshu shio ramen. Pork slices were done well, the noodles were chewy, and soup base wasn't too salty. The place, like the rest of the restaurants in the Mitsuwa plaza is cash only which in my book deserves one less star. Either the owners aren't willing to absorb a small percentage of cost for the sake of convenience, or the IRS might want to look into their books. That said, if you're looking for authentic ramen at a reasonable price, this is it.
Very good, satisfying ramen shop, better than quite a few that I have had in Japan itself, and IMO can hold its own against some of the best within Japan. Noodles have good body and texture, great soups, and the cha-shu pork is very luscious. Broth is piping hot as it should be with a flavorful, clean taste. Our family's favorite is the cha-shu salt ramen (regular size) and although my girls are still youngsters, they're able to finish the entire bowl without any help from me! I liked the addition of a pickled plum to this ramen. My wife has also had their ikura salmon roe rice bowl and liked it very much, very fresh flavor. Grab a table by the windows and enjoy a tasty bowl while enjoying the river view! Cash only. They also have a shop in Cambridge, MA, and it's equal in quality as this Mitsuwa shopping center one.
I like Ramen and chose this instead among the other food court restaurants. It was not the ramen you cook at home which is for me better than here.
Ordered the spicy miso ramen and it hit the spot! Pretty much any time i come to Mitsuwa, I come here to grab a ramen! Prices are good, lines can get long and they only take cash!
Ramen was spicy but wasnt super spicy, just right to me. The Broth isnt overly thick, not Totto Ramen thick, but still good.
The Charsiu isnt very thick, and is probably my only gripe. I ordered the regular, but if you are pretty hungry, you will want to get a bigger bowl.
The lines are long and when you get on line, it's best to look on the board to your left to have an idea as to what to order. My husband stood in line to order one dish but by the time he got up to order, he got confused and ordered #11 instead of the bigger ramen bowl with pork belly and more stuff. Absolutely no problem because the Shoyu pork bellied ramen (#11) was equally delicious. In other words, you can't go wrong. Everything is delicious. The noodles were al dente and the broth was superbly rich. I normally don't care for broth but this place, I make an exception.
Will be back but be forewarned, it's hard to get a seat which was why he stood on line solo. Thanks hubby (heart emoji)
So I have to say this is by far the best ramen I've had ever. We got the roast pork ramen which came with 5 slices of pork and it was packed with flavor. Pretty much everything was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and eating it just makes you feel so happy! It's a must try! Didn't have time to take a pic because it was too yummy!
