Estrellita Poblana is top notch when it comes to authentic Mexican cuisine. My grandma lives nearby, and I can't believe that after years of visiting I still hadn't eaten here. The menu is pages long, and can definitely be a tad overwhelming. Luckily, I was already dreaming of enchiladas so I didn't need to spend too much time stressing over what to order.
The service is prompt and friendly, and upon sitting we were immediately greeted with chips, salsa and a variety of other dipping sauces. Yelp pics did not steer me wrong, and the pina colada was amaze. The mini umbrella and pineapple chunks definitely made me feel like I was back in Mexico laying on the beach. The enchiladas were A+++++. They came stuffed with flavorful shredded chicken and drenched in cheese and a creamy verde sauce. The platter was super large, and also came with a hearty plate of rice and beans. Other dishes at the table were equally enormous and delicious, especially the chicken fajitas which could have fed an entire family. I snuck a taste of the carnitas platter and the meat was perfectly tender.
Next time I come back, I'll share an entree with someone else. Everything is so damn delicious that it might be tough to share, but portions are so insanely big that it is a must!
