  1. Haven't been here in years. They no longer offer reward program because they said they lowered their prices to accommodate the price range. I ordered the king crab pizza which was great, not crab tasting which tells me it wasn't fresh but nice otherwise with avocado and spicy mayo on a tostada tasting chip. Also ordered the spicy crunchy salmon roll with brown rice, which was nice but again tasted decent, not utterly fresh. My friends ordered the twin roll and the roll with mango in it. I also ordered the cold appetizer with squid and ponzu sauce on the side. The squid was good, a bit chewy but that's ordinary for the squid. The price total came to 89$ because we missed the lunch special. I've had better sushi on staten island and for the half hour drive would go somewhere more local with fresher ingredients.

  2. Tomo is one of those places where you make up a reason to return- for the friendly staff, for the fresh sushi, for the delicious and creative starters, and for the entrees that never disappoint.

For starters, the Rock Shrimp and the Plum Duck Wrap are a must. The shrimp has just the right crunch covered in a light sweet sauce that pairs perfectly with the bed of greens beneath. The Plum Duck Wrap is a tasty concoction, I love the texture of the wrap against the duck and veggie filling.

My favorite sushi is the sashimi roll, not on the menu but it was recommended by the waitress. The sashimi paired nicely; I took in its full aesthetic and gastronomic beauty. The Godzilla and Zink Roll were, too, a force to be reckoned with.

As for the entree, you can't go wrong with the teriyaki, especially the steak with its unparalleled tenderness. My all time favorite is the Seafood Bouillabaisse- it tastes like it's been stewed for days or maybe hours, truly a flavor that is out of this world.

What really topped off the experience is the way the owner treats her customers- from the warm welcome to the attentiveness throughout the meal. It shows the dedication and care she has for the customer's experience.
